Description
This is for an annual contest held by the DA group, Messier Senshi .
Before you read the story I highly recommend you read Kepler Seven's biography , otherwise it may be a bit confusing.
***Story***
Kepler 7 swiped her hand through the air and narrowed her eyes, making it clear to Leader that she did not wish to do the task she had appointed to her. She did not get along with the people that Leader told her to work with, and she saw no reason why Leader would force her into such a situation. Besides, ever since Seven had found out yesterday that there were other intelligent life forms out there—and they wanted her to join their alliance—common village chores were just beyond dull. She didn’t want to be on this boring planet anymore, her curiosity restricted to excavating the ruins of the Oxygen Users. She wanted to take off into the sky, as she had seen that strange creature do, and explore everything out there!
Leader held her hands out with her palms down, looking into Kepler 7’s eyes with a stern warning. Seven knew this meant that she would not be getting out of this one. She dropped her arms and lowered her gaze to signal submission. Once Leader turned and walked away, Seven grudgingly looked up at the two males waiting for her. One of them she recognized as the male that would not allow her to eat before her first Celebration of Fertility. The other male with him was the one that wouldn’t let her dance during the celebration.
Starving Male looked to Dancing Male and then back to Seven. He rubbed his feet on the grass and thrust his hand toward her. She narrowed her eyes at this rude, beckoning gesture and walked briskly past them, toward the Hatching Pool. Surely Leader would have understood her unhappy feelings towards them—they went out of the way to ensure she would not reproduce. Leader could have at least given her villagers that she liked. Watching the eggs was fine, but watching the eggs—which she had not been allowed to add to, by their combined patronizing—was just too insensitive.
Seven arrived at the Hatching Pool. The three guards stood from their post, one of them holding up two fingers. Seven pointed at the two males lagging behind her. They nodded and left her standing at the pool. Seven stared at the glossy, freckled fruit floating in the rich, milky fluid. It was a sour reminder of what the males did not want her to make. Any time a male would try to feed her, they’d take the food away and give it to another female. Still, there was a chance she could have participated…but any time a male tried to dance with her, they were chased away.
Dancing Male had said with his hands, “She is crazy. You don’t want her passing that on to the next generation.” Leader just watched. She did nothing. Did she secretly agree with them? It hurt to think about. Yes, she understood how leaving camp for hours and digging in the dirt for some lost treasure may have looked crazy. But she wanted to learn. If only they understood that any knowledge she gathered about the previous race could actually benefit everyone. That is what she told Starving Male. He pretended to duck from an explosion and then said with his a cold look from his eyes and a wave of his hands, “They were destroyed, and any knowledge you gain will just destroy us the same way.”
It was in that moment that Seven felt as if she was waking up. Why was she here, guarding the eggs of the people that mocked her and had no appreciation for who she was? Why should she bear the presence of the two men that denied her her rights? She would be going to better places soon, among people that were different—just like her—and who were not afraid to face the unkown—just like her. Let the two males watch the Hatching Pool on their own.
With that, Seven strode from the Hatching Pool, past the two indignant males who began stomping and gesturing for her immediate return, and onward to the only place on the planet that really felt like home. Little did she know that this decision would become the greatest regret in her life and haunt her with pain and guilt to this very day. This chronic affliction would forever remind her of the consequences of letting her own personal feelings be set above the the ones that need her.

I only used the colors green, red, and yellow but when I blended some of these markers together it made purple. So although it may look like I didn't follow the tricolor thing, I actually did to the best of my ability.
This was my first time trying a piece with markers. When it came time to color in my sketch, I could only find ONE canary yellow prismacolor marker... I couldnt find the rest (I recently moved into a new place). So I scraped together all the red, yellow, and green sharpie markers, crayola markers, and lip stain--yes, lip stain--I could find. This was the result.
As for making our senshi look younger... you will notice some anatomical differences. All I have to say is it made me think about what an adolescent of her species would look like, and ultimately I decided that it would make some structures shorter or "bald".
