(Disclaimer: Contains rapid pregnancy and birth. Don't like, don't read. Do like, do read!!)
The baby needed a name. Elise decided on Ava. Why the heck not.
She pulled her pants back up and waddled over to the bathroom sink. There, she cleaned her new baby up, and dried her off with paper towels. It was strange...this baby had no umbilical cord, did not cry, and seemed to be getting heavier the longer Elise held her.
"You must be hungry, I suppose." Elise mused. She carefully unlatched her bra and removed it from underneath her shirt, trying not to cause too much disturbance, but her nipples still tingled with pleasure and continued to leak more milk. Desperate for some relief, Elise removed one breast from her shirt and held her newborn up to it. Ava quickly latched on and began to suckle. Finding the bra to be more of an inconvenience now, Elise just chucked it in the trash.
Surprisingly, the next baby wasn't starting to come yet, but Elise knew she had to move fast anyway. The problem was, she wasn't quite sure where to go.
After Ava had finished her meal, Elise covered herself back up and left the bathroom. Her breasts were now unevenly sized, but she couldn't care less. She tossed the bathroom key back to the snotty cashier on her way out of the store.
As she left, she spotted something that surprised her. There was an empty baby stroller sitting outside the store, on the sidewalk. Elise looked around, but there was nobody to claim the stroller. There was, however, a note attached to the thing. Elise walked over and picked it up. It read:
Hello, new Inheritor.
I believe I have some explaining to do. I would have done more when I gave you the ring, but you scuffled out of my store in such a hurry! I suppose by now you know what the ring does. I am so happy you have taken this on for me, and I hope you won't decide to quit any time soon. It's not like you could if you wanted to--that ring is stuck to your finger!
Somehow, Elise had never attempted to remove the ring until now. She tried, and sure enough, it would not come off, no matter how hard she pulled.
The letter continued:
However, if you really want to give up the job, you'll just have to find a specimen who will be willing to take it off your hands, like I did!
Now, about the stroller. This is yours to keep. Sorry, there's only two seats in it, so you'll have to stop at home often. But there are accommodations there as well!
Another thing I'm sure you've noticed is the rapid aging of your offspring. This is normal. All your babies will appear to age one year every five minutes or so. The accelerated growth will wear off once they reach age 18, and by then, they should be able to help you!
Elise knew something had beed odd about Ava's size. She looked at her daughter. The little girl already had hair covering her head, and weighed about 15 pounds.
The letter concluded:
Again, thank you, and good luck.
Sincerely,
The Previous Inheritor (Better known by you is "that woman in the store!")
Elise scowled. How dare that woman set her up with this mess! Now she was going to have to deal with it until she could find another sucker to take the ring? Unbelievable.
Sighing, she turned back to the stroller, crumpling up the note and tossing it behind her. At the bottom of the stroller, she spotted a large zipper-up compartment. Upon investigation, she saw that it contained baby clothes. Those would be helpful right about now!
She dressed Ava right there on the sidewalk, but again no one took notice. At least this ring's magic hides some of the embarrassment, Elise thought to herself with a chuckle. Once Ava was all clothed in the cute pink striped onesie, the two started their way down the sidewalk. Elise was barely a few steps in when she began to feel the tug of contractions once more. But there was no way she was going back to the store, not with that bratty cashier there. So she continued to walk, clenching the handlebar of the stroller tightly. Besides, her apartment was only, what, six blocks away? She could probably make it.
As she walked, she tried to keep her head down, so as not to accidentally spot any more pregnant ladies on the sidewalk. It was tricky, though, and Elise realized she could not keep it up for very long without nearly swerving the stroller into a pedestrian. So, she carefully looked up, and upon spotting no more big bellies, continued walking in a less hesitant way.
Her motion, unfortunately, was speeding up the already accelerated birth process. The contractions were getting closer together and becoming stronger. Elise's winces quickly turned to grimaces, and her walk became a hobble. As she felt the head drop past her cervix, she had no choice but to pull the stroller over to the edge of the sidewalk and come to a stop.
"Hoo, hooo..." she huffed, grasping the stroller handle with one hand and her gravid belly with the other. She was doubled over, and really regretting her decision not to stay in the convenience store bathroom. She glanced up and surveyed her surroundings. She'd entered the town park area, and there were no bathrooms in sight. Just grassy fields across the street to her left, and an old brick building to her right.
Moaning, Elise let her shaky right hand slide its way down to her crotch area. The dull yet burning pain mixed with shivery pleasure to give her an alarming, overwhelming feeling. It seemed wrong, not being crippled with pain, but only immobilized by some mix of pleasure and discomfort. But the ring's magic worked in mysterious ways.
Elise retracted her hand for the time being. She had her legs somewhat crossed, knees slightly bent. She set her sights on an alleyway to her right. Abandoning the stroller with her daughter in it, Elise staggered her way over to the alley, stepping along in an erratic, cross-legged manner. When she got to the alley, she took a break to lean against the rough brick wall. She panted through another contraction, feeling the head ease its way through her birth canal as her thighs quivered. She spotted a dumpster in the alley and decided to go over to it.
"This is so demeaning," Elise groaned to herself quietly. She snuck behind the dumpster, where no one on the street could see her. The pressure in her nethers was just enough to distract her from the smell.
Once there, she began to pull down the hem of her pants again. She stopped, though, and bit her lower lip. With her hand, she gingerly cupped her sex, finding it to be hot, wet, and bulging as the head neared her exit. A shiver went up her spine, and a low moan escaped her as her senses tingled. Beneath her palm, she felt the bulge grow larger, and her labia began to part to make way for the head. Only then did she remove her hand and pull her pants and undergarments down to her knees.
Leaning back against the brick wall, Elise bore down, arching her back. The baby's head popped out with a burst of fluid, and with another strong push, the shoulders came as well. Elise moved her hands once more, this time to catch the arriving baby.
This one was a boy, and like his sister he did not cry, nor did he have an umbilical cord. Elise decided to name him Lukas.
This time, more contractions came right after Elise had finished the birth. This time she had the common sense to sit tight and wait for her third baby to arrive.
There was nothing to clean Lukas off with, so Elise went straight to the next step, removing the more swollen breast from her shirt and allowing Lukas to suckle. As he did, a new wave off pleasure hit Elise, coming from her sensitive teats. Her knees began to quake a bit.
Elise didn't have to wait long for the next birth. The contractions came quick and easy, and soon there was another head pushing through her birth canal. Elise bore down sooner this time, desperate to empty her womb. Using one hand, Elise caught the baby's torso as it came out and gently pulled it free of her worn-out tunnel.
Another girl. Elise named her Lea.
After the birth, Elise surveyed her body. It looked almost totally back to normal. Although not as toned as before, her stomach was flat, having been emptied of babies. She was relieved to see her body back to such a normal state.
As Elise carried the newborns back to the stroller, each one sucking on a tit, she faced a predicament. She now had three children, but only two seats in the stroller. Where would they all fit?
A solution presented itself. As Elise walked over to the stroller, Ava looked up at her. She looked to be four years old, now, and way too big for the stroller. Her clothes had changed, as well. What had been a pink onesie when she'd been an infant had somehow transformed into a cute dress. It fit Ava perfectly.
Although warned by the note, Elise still found this rapid aging startling. Plus, the clothes were now apparently magical, as well. "So, uh...I guess this means you can walk on your own now, sweetie?"
"Yeah, mommy!" Ava giggled, nodding.
Elise unbuckled her from the stroller and lifted her out. Then, she put the two newborns in. In the stroller's bottom compartment, she found some towels, which she used to wipe the amniotic juices off her two new children. She also found more clothes and dressed them.
Suddenly, she heard a voice behind her shoulder. "Oh, what a lovely family you have!"
Elise spun around, and there was a moderately pregnant woman, beaming at her.
"Oh, uh, thank you!" Elise stammered, watching as the woman's belly shrank.
"I hope to have such a nice family one day," The woman said sweetly, before walking off.
Elise sighed, already feeling the warmth hit her middle as the new baby was transferred to her.
Ava tugged on Elise's pant leg. "Mommy? Are we going home now?"
"Yes, sweetie," Elise sighed. "And we'd better get a move on, too." There were still a few blocks to go, so it would take about fifteen minutes to get there.
The walk home went relatively smoothly. Every time Elise glanced down, her kids seemed a bit older. Her belly was rounder, as well, but she tried not to focus on that. Luckily, the woman she'd just talked to was only in her second term, so it took a bit longer for Elise's belly to reach full term. In the meantime, she kept up a brisk pace, pushing her stroller along like she was in a race. Ava had to jog to keep up.
By the time she reached the apartment building, contractions were starting yet again.
"Ava, dear, could you...hoo...open the door for us, please?" Elise panted.
"Sure thing, mommy!" The seven-year-old chirped. She trotted over to the entrance and pulled the door open wide for them.
Elise pushed the stroller through and headed over to the elevator. Ava followed behind. When they reached the elevator, Elise pushed the button for the fourth floor.
While they waited for the doors to open, Elise leaned against the stroller and took a breather. Her legs were tired and she was practically dripping with sweat. Her clothes were soaked with birth fluids and milk. She desperately wanted to go to bed and wake up from this nightmare. However, the increasingly strong contractions reminded her that that was not an option.
The doors opened, and the "family" piled in the elevator. Elise noticed that the youngest two children were getting a bit big for the stroller. She envisioned what would happen once she gave birth to more babies. Would she start to have an entourage of children following her at all times? She surely didn't have accommodations in her tiny apartment.
When they reached the fourth floor, they exited the elevator and hung a left to where Elise's apartment was. After taking a few steps, Elise froze and gripped the underside of her belly as a particularly strong contraction took hold of her. "Oooh man..."
Then, she felt an abrupt release, and a gush of water escaped her, dripping on the floor below. Elise became confused. Apparently her water broke again...? It hadn't broken before the last two births. Perhaps it only broke once her womb had been emptied, then refilled.
Her confusion only mounted when she looked up. Where her apartment door had been was now a bright purple door, with a plaque that read "INHERITOR'S QUARTERS" on the front.
Elise assumed that was the only change the ring's magic had made. That was, until she opened the door.
Her entire apartment had been redecorated. The walls and furniture were all the same shade of purple as the door. There were toys and baby-proof locks everywhere.
Fascinated, Elise looked around the remodeled apartment. She walked over to where her bedroom door was. Now, there was another door right next to it. Intrigued, she opened up the door.
Defying the architecture of the apartment building, the door led to a vast hallway. Lining the hall on either side were doors, 11 in total. Most of them had no doorknobs. There were three, however, which did have doorknobs, along with little plaques of their own.
Elise opened the door labelled "Ava."
Inside was what you would expect any 7-year-old girl's room to look like. There was a small bed, and more toys, including dolls and stuffed animals. Elise stood open-mouthed at the impossibility of it all.
While she did so, Ava scurried past her, into the room. "Hey mom!" She said as she went by. She then proceeded to hop on her bed and pick up some dolls, as if she'd played with them all her life.
Elise stepped back out into the hall, this time walking to the end. There was one final door at the end of the hallway, again with no doorknob, but it did include a plaque. This one read "UNLOCK AT 11 BABIES."
Still trying to confront these changes, Elise suddenly doubled over in pain. She'd been so absorbed in her new apartment that she'd forgotten she was about to give birth. Now as she gripped her gravid belly, a head pushed against her opening.
"Oooh no, not yet, baby..." Elise moaned, turning around and waddling her way back down the hallway. The urge to push was unbearable, and by the time she'd gotten back into the living room and the baby's head was escaping her, her legs buckled beneath her and she fell to the floor on her knees.
Gasping for breath, Elise looked up and found two toddlers looking back at her. It was Lukas and Lea, aged 5 and 4 respectively. They'd unbuckled themselves from the stroller. Lukas was now wearing a blue shirt and shorts, and Lea was wearing a red shirt and polka-dot skirt.
"Kids...nggghh...g-go to your rooms," Elise grunted. She had one hand between her thighs, supporting the growing bulge in the fabric of her pants.
"Okay, mom," They both said, shockingly unfazed by her disheveled display. They scooted past her into the long hallway, and went into the rooms whose doors bore their names.
Elise moaned, muscles tensing, breasts leaking. She fought against her own will, holding the baby inside her, but she knew she couldn't do it for much longer. She looked around again, and luckily, the bathroom was right where she'd remembered it.
She made her was back up to her feet, albeit rather bowlegged. She cupped the emerging head with her hand and hobbled over to the bathroom door.
No longer a surprise to her, the bathroom had changed as well. It was bigger, and along with the usual toilet and shower, there were now racks filled with towels and baby clothes. There was also a foam mat on the floor which looked quite inviting to a woman in labor.
Elise crouched down, then flopped onto her back on the mat. She quickly disrobed, then gave a big push. "Ngggah!"
The baby squeezed out of her easily, and landed on the edge of the mat with a splash of liquid. Upon sitting up, Elise observed that it was another girl. She'd name this one Lola.
She once more removed an engorged tit from her shirt, making her hand wet with the milk that ran down it. Lola latched on happily.
Elise then stood up with her new daughter and walked over to the racks, selecting one of perhaps a dozen towels. After cleaning Lola up, she also picked out a cute outfit, a solid orange onesie.
When the two finally exited the bathroom, Elise found Ava there waiting. She was almost nine now, and her dress had grown to fit. Her black hair and sparkly eyes nearly matched her mother's.
"Don't worry, mom, I can take her while you get ready!" Ava said with a smile.
Elise handed Lola off to her other daughter, but her eyebrows were furrowed. "Ready? Ready for what?"
"I thought we were going out," Ava replied confusedly. "To get groceries?"
"Groceries? What for?" Elise asked, walking over to the kitchen area. "We have plenty of food."
But when she opened the fridge, she was surprised to find it empty.
"Huh...I guess you're right," Elise said. "I'll...go get ready then."
"Okay!" Ava chirped, and walked off into the hallway with Lola.
Reeling with bewilderment, Elise went over to her bedroom door. Hopefully nothing had changed in here.
Thankfully, it looked like nothing had. All the colors were the same, and it was just as messy as she'd left it. Her closets were stocked with workout clothes and some more casual items. She chose a grey tank top that was cute, but also stretchy enough to accommodate a pregnant belly. She tried some pairs of jeans, but they couldn't fit--her hips were too wide. So she went with the calf-length black yoga pants instead.
Before putting the clothes on, Elise took a quick shower. It was a wonderful feeling, cleansing herself from the built-up sweat, milk, and fluids. She gave herself plenty of time to relax before going back to her room to get dressed.
After she was done, she went back out into the living room. The kids were waiting there; Ava (age 12), Lukas (age 9), and Lea (age 8).
"Lola was asleep, so I put her in her bed," Ava mentioned.
Elise was fine with that. One less kid to worry about would be a blessing.
After putting her purse in the bottom compartment of the stroller (which Ava had kindly restocked with towels and clothes), Elise turned back to her kids.
"All right, sweeties, let's go!"

follow up to my comment from all those days ago:
if you cant take the ring off, how did the store owner already have it off?
how does the rings magic work? sometimes the pregnancy changes are invisible to others (it even hides her while she's changing her babies clothes), but later on they attract a crowd? it also seemed to magically change the store owners store at the start and empty the fridge. very interesting
i was also hoping that behind the 11 baby door would be something more interesting, with the magic ring creating the apartment more rooms wss a given. i think it'd be cooler if it was a reward or something to spice things up. like... gain 2x babies from pregnancy, over time generate a new baby, etc. i feel like that second one makes sense as well since later when she gets enough children the risk is gone, she no longer has to leave the house and a different girl can just take the babies themself even with the clinic since they also get pregnant.
just my thoughts, story still fantastic just wanted to give some input.

Great observations!! I haven’t touched this story in a while but if/when I come back to it a lot of those questions will be answered. There are some points where I simply neglected to keep the plot/mechanics of the ring consistent, but for the most part every question has an answer. I like the idea of each new apartment upgrade coming with “other upgrades,” so I’ll keep that in mind if I ever continue this storyline
