Description You can tell a lot about a person by the contents of their bookshelves so, out of curiosity, take a gander at what I own.

Notes: The Narnia, Borrowers, Wind in the Willows, Winnie-the-Pooh, John Wyndym and some of the Stephen King books were previously owned by my mother. That's why they have that old, beaten up look. They were printed in the 60's and 80's!

That's not all the animation stuff I have either. The whole Cowboy Bebop series is on top of the first bookcase along with certain Tim Burton films and musicals and a number of VHS's lie in a box in the corner.

I have struggled to find the last two books in the Chronicles of Prydain series and will probably never get Brisingr or the last two "Ink" books. The remaining books in the Remnant series were never printed in the UK and I did used to own all of the Broken Sky series but I lent the last books to a school friend, we promptly lost touch with each other and she never returned them.

Awesome bookshelf, you have a good taste in literature

I've recently got into Stephen King myself, I've just read Misery and The Green Mile and about to start The Dead Zone

I also read the Jack Reacher books by a man called Lee Child, an ongoing series of action thrillers starring the titular character, an ex military cop 6ft 5, 50 inch chest, weighs between 220-250lbs (Trivia, Stephen King is also a big fan of the Jack Reacher books as shown here:[link] )

I also like your graphic novel selections too Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Doctor Who etc

All I can say is....not bad

Haha, thanks! I remember when I was reading Misery, my dad (who had only seen the film) asked me if I had got to the part where "she breaks the guy's ankles" and I responded, "I-ooh. Um. She doesn't exactly do that in the book..."

I remember that part

It is fairly different in detail, the story's the same though

Like the part where she cuts his thumb off and runs that cop over with her lawnmower. I tell ya Stephen can be pretty gruesome sometimes, take The Green Mile for instnace, after cajun prisoner Eduard Delacroix has cooked in the electric chair, the skin on his hand slid off the bone.

Yeah, they are actually quite enjoyable. It is quite an effective horror story at times and the ending is bittersweet with some nice creepy characters and great action scenes included.

It's a clever concept as well as when the human characters get pulled into a comic, the novel you're holding becomes a comic book for a few pages before returning to normal text later on! I do recommend them!

I like your choice in books. Especially the chronicles of Prydain, man that's a great series that not many people know about.

Yeah, it grew from a curiosity to find out what Disney's The Black Cauldron was actually (loosely) based on!

Oh really? I had no idea Disney (loosely) based a movie on those books! I was given them when I was three or something and finally read them in fifth grade. I still love them

Oh, yes, one of their 1980's animated ones simply called The Black Cauldron!

That's cool. I'll need to watch it. Yesterday my dad downloaded an old arcade game that is based on the Chronicles of Prydain.
