Thank you, this was actually my very first test image using Vue 11. I had Vue 5 - Vue 8 and then I stopped upgrading for a while, so I'm finding a lot of nice improvements and features in it. Which version are you currently using, just out of curiosity? The Seafarer was a very impressive image

The Seafarer was made with Vue 6 ProStudio.I'm saving to get Vue 11 complete but I'm afraid by the time I reach the amount Vue 12 or 13 will be on the market. They churn them so fast at E-On !
For The Seafarer I made the statues with Poser and textured them in Vue after import!

Yeah, lol, that is why I didn't do any upgrading between version 8 and 11...because every they kept turning out a new version every time I thought about putting money aside for it...so I figured I'd just wait for the next one, lol. Finally made the jump on 11. I do like it a lot, but I think they release too often, it's like a new version every year now, and I really don't like that they don't give me a discount on extra modules tat I have purchased. i have to buy them all over again at full price. That was another thing keeping me from upgrading. I think they should release a new version about every 2-3 years with all of the changes in place, but I guess that's not keeping them in business. I know I won't be upgrading again until version 15 or 16, lol. The thing I really like about version 11 is that for the first time the Poser shader tree integration works beutifully AND without crashing your machine or making the render take 96 hours, lol. Finally, you can import a Poser figure (like I did with Persephone), tell Vue to render the figure using Poser's shader tree and the rest of the scene using the vue render engine, and you end up with a beautiful environment AND a character that looks the same way they did in Poser without having to completely re-do their materials inside of Vue. Now if they only had the same option for the Genesis based figures, I'd be in heaven

Thanks for the info! Two years ago I upgraded from Vue 6 to Vue 9 and I also found out I had to buy the modules all over again, so I gave up too! Doesn't the Genesis for Poser import into Vue 11 the same way Poser characters do,with the shader tree? I haven't tried yet!

Yeah, I guess you could do it that way, with the DSON importer I mean...loading them first to Poser then to Vue as a PZZ or PZ3 file. Only thing I've found is that there is no clean or easy way so far to import over a cutsom character that you made in Genesis...say like a mix of Genesis, M5, Freak 5, Creature Morphs, etc. The "Poser Companion Files" say for like M5 is a poser converted PZ2 version of the base M5 character with materials already converted and optimized (by DAZ) to Poser shader tree format wit SSS enabled and everything. I want to be able to use the custom characters I make by mixing the Genesis DNA in Poser...that has proven anything but easy so far. I have set that aside for now as I am way too busy on some of my projects to worry about it anymore. I really love what Genesis can do, I just wish it had been made for Poser instead. I have been a Poser user since version 4 & 5 werwe around, so that's where I like doing the bulk of my character work. I have forced myself to learn DAZ Studio 4.5 simply because of the power that Genesis offers, but I'd rather work in Poser any day (with the exception of autofitting clothes...that is an amazing feature...kudos to Daz on that).

Being a Poserist ,I know nothing about Daz Studio! But I did install the free Genesis for Poser and though it is save as a Poser scene,I just realized it doesn't export into Vue ,it still need the DSON importer. Well never mind,Idon't actually need to do Vue pictures with the Genesis figures !
Just to make you smile ,I started with Poser 2 & Bryce 3 but that was in Stone Age !

Haha, looks like you have me beat. I never got to Bryce back in those days, always heard about it, but I started my "digital nature" learning with Vue 5 Esprit. Photshop however I've been using since like 1998, it was actually the original version of "Photoshop Elements" I think...it wasn't even called "Elements" it was some other name, can't even remember now, lol. Putting my friends heads on different bodies, that's it how it all started, LOL!

Yeah, that is a great machine pistol. You can thank Yvgeney Hazanovsky for that, aka "Wartech" as he's known in the 3D market. He makes some of the best 3D weapons money can buy. Check out his site at:

I've literally bought like a 3rd of his inventory, LOL...and I'll be getting more this month. He never stops cranking this stuff out, so I keep buying
