And that's the truth! O_O (Just making a statement :3 )Lalala *rushrushrush* and yes, "MLE" is me, if you didn't already know that. I chose Near to be in this one because... he's very critical? I don't know. I just wanted to draw the stupid duck.
Anyway, I got the second part of the idea about Mello after being SPAMMED from the TV with commercials about buying chocolates and diamonds for v-day and how "YOU MUST BUY CHOCOLATES OR ELSE HE/SHE WILL HATE YOU FOR LIFE AND DUMP YOU ON VALENTINES DAY. YOU DON'T WANT THAT DO YOU?! THE GOVERNMENT WOULDN'T WANT THAT." I mean--- Well. You get the point. I hope. Unless you're in denial or something.
I'm one of those people who believe that Love is a stupid "emotion" basically caused by the chemicals in our bodies to tell us to mate and breed and make with the offpsring. Buuuut I guess, as humans, we all want to make it seem special and not have it portrayed just as an "animal instinct". I can rant all day about this. ANYWAY Enjoy your hallmark holiday! I'm going to enjoy my CHINESE NEW YEARS. You know, a holiday WITHOUT Hallmark influence. And you get free money 
I'm done bashing. :3 I'd say have a good day but you probably hate me already XD

Valentine's is just a thing a man sprouted out during the middle ages, pretty much in my view, an overexaggeraited, overraited holiday which pretty much in my belief, spawend the Twilight series of books because a girl of some sort could'nt find romance.
Pretty much, the government that did this is what made "rap" "hip-hop" cool.

There really are people who thinks like me? O.o I almost got yelled at in class when we talked about valentines day and I called love overrated... (really, it is; every movie, almost all music, and nearly all books have something about it; you get used to it or grow insane!)

I totally agree with you!! I've often analyzed "love" myself, and find it to be merely a mechanism that promotes mating in the human species. Since our intellect and inter-personal relations happen to be on a higher level than other animals, we need a more complex reason for mating and reproducing. The commercialized definition of love is our explanation for the chemical reactions that occur over the course of finding a mate, and also serves as a push to get people to go out and find a mate.
...I must sound like a loon. This is why I'm never going to get married. My prospective husband would be like, "Honey, I love you," and I'd be like, "No, sweetheart, that's just the chemical reactions talking." XD

I hate valentines day because we were forced to hug EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THE. OTHER. KIDS. IN. MY. #ยค@$. SCHOOL. on that day. In fact, every single time we've had to do something equally stupid, meaningless and unpleasant. No wonder I hate that day.

I'm with you on those beliefs. It is all hormones, biologically no different from eating large ammounts of chocolate....though, sometimes I wish I could get into the belief that "love" is more than what it really is.....maybe then I wouldn't seem so sterile and emotionless around every girlfriend I get.....oh well.....a funny comic, regardless.....though I think I've seen most of these on youtube.....

Oh, but your right, Valentines Day is largely a money making thing. Perhaps it had real meaning in the past, but in this age of consumerism... less so. It's intrinsic worth is pretty much about money. Other than that, it's up to individuals to staple meaning on it.

Love isn't actually as base as you make it out to be. eros, sexual love, is of course; it's about sex. amors, romantic love, isn't. It's not so much about the most basic animals instinct, to keep the species alive, as the evolutionary trick of overcommitment. By wich two organisms - similar circumstances occur outside of humans- bypass all the crap about who gets more out of a relationship by subverting it (e.g, an untrue spouse gets DOUBLE THE SEX untill their significant other finds out)- by over commiting. Saying I will be true to you, and will not subvert this relationship. and you can trust me because I will go on proving it every day forever.
And then you evolve into a being with extelligence, a step up from intelligance and sentience, and concepts like 'love' become MUCH more complicated than basic and obious evolutionary advantages.
And this is not some random making up pseudo-science to spam you. This is some random spouting real science at you cause they're a little up themself.

I'm sure someone somewhere has mentioned this... so people, please don't yell at me for mentioning this: but 'Valentines Day' is actual 'Saint Valentines Day'. Like a lot of Christian holidays, it's simply over commercialised, and associated with things that really have very little to do with the day it's self.
