And that's the truth! O_O (Just making a statement :3 )Lalala *rushrushrush* and yes, "MLE" is me, if you didn't already know that. I chose Near to be in this one because... he's very critical? I don't know. I just wanted to draw the stupid duck.
Anyway, I got the second part of the idea about Mello after being SPAMMED from the TV with commercials about buying chocolates and diamonds for v-day and how "YOU MUST BUY CHOCOLATES OR ELSE HE/SHE WILL HATE YOU FOR LIFE AND DUMP YOU ON VALENTINES DAY. YOU DON'T WANT THAT DO YOU?! THE GOVERNMENT WOULDN'T WANT THAT." I mean--- Well. You get the point. I hope. Unless you're in denial or something.
I'm one of those people who believe that Love is a stupid "emotion" basically caused by the chemicals in our bodies to tell us to mate and breed and make with the offpsring. Buuuut I guess, as humans, we all want to make it seem special and not have it portrayed just as an "animal instinct". I can rant all day about this. ANYWAY Enjoy your hallmark holiday! I'm going to enjoy my CHINESE NEW YEARS. You know, a holiday WITHOUT Hallmark influence. And you get free money

I'm always found of this kind of tiny bit of random crack that have nothing to do with what is being said and done, like all the stuff L does while eating that you can only see if you look closely enough, like in the 7th, when he eat those little cakes, and in one panel he's got one in his hand, the other he's eating, but you wonder "Where the f***k did the paper went?" and then paf, some panel later, you see him spitting it XD.
I totally agree with you on Valentine day, disgusting, I hate those completely fake pseudo eternal love relationships anyway. But it's fun, Mello is such a girl.
at first I thought that after all their speech , they were still going to fight over who was going to offer Mello the biggest chocolate cake/box XD.
Also, I forgot if I told you, but I love your chibi, you've got a unique style, their hair are perfect, I admire your coloring skills, I'm so trying to achieve something of that level.

Hahahaha. So you also dislike the big "love" day? You want to learn a little fact about it? It was made for the horrible DEATH of Saint Valentine of Gascony by the Catholic Church, who was tortured until his life ended by the soldiers of Oliver Cromwell for not sharing their belief. It is in fact a day about death, war, depression, and mourning for the dead, and of belief in a higher power to save the innocent from similar fates. Hallmark, Disney, and several other companies turned the day of mourning into basically what you said in the cartoon- with the exception of causing cancer. A.I.D.S., maybe, but not cancer.

Love isn't stupid, at least not "true love", i do agree that the "only crave sex" emotion is stupid though. I am one who focuses on the more positive sides of things. I think instead of a gift people should find fun and creative ways to celebrate Valentine's Day with the one for you. That way you can reduce the commercialism a bit.
