And that's the truth! O_O (Just making a statement :3 )Lalala *rushrushrush* and yes, "MLE" is me, if you didn't already know that. I chose Near to be in this one because... he's very critical? I don't know. I just wanted to draw the stupid duck.
Anyway, I got the second part of the idea about Mello after being SPAMMED from the TV with commercials about buying chocolates and diamonds for v-day and how "YOU MUST BUY CHOCOLATES OR ELSE HE/SHE WILL HATE YOU FOR LIFE AND DUMP YOU ON VALENTINES DAY. YOU DON'T WANT THAT DO YOU?! THE GOVERNMENT WOULDN'T WANT THAT." I mean--- Well. You get the point. I hope. Unless you're in denial or something.
I'm one of those people who believe that Love is a stupid "emotion" basically caused by the chemicals in our bodies to tell us to mate and breed and make with the offpsring. Buuuut I guess, as humans, we all want to make it seem special and not have it portrayed just as an "animal instinct". I can rant all day about this. ANYWAY Enjoy your hallmark holiday! I'm going to enjoy my CHINESE NEW YEARS. You know, a holiday WITHOUT Hallmark influence. And you get free money

Saint Valentine's Day is the day we celebrate our ability and freedom to marry and most especially love. Just because Hallmark and other companies found a way to market and make money off of it people like you enjoy tearing it down and imagining that it has no deeper meaning. The simple fact is that people live and die for love, and wether you believe in it or not, does not mean that expressing love or having a day to remind everyone that we are free to love and marry those we love is stupid and meaningless.
On and on I go. Just remember, not everything is as simple as it appears at first glance. Sometimes you have to look deeper, especially at the things we automatically find to be "commercial" or "government conspiracy."
And as far as I know, no one hates you. I, personally, just find you lazy and biased, but most people are.
Enjoyed all the others, though. Really funny stuffs.

I think you're actually the ignorant/biased one... Valentines day STARTED as a romance thing but its all gone to shit nowadays and is a hateful misery day that makes me depressed because I'm single (I prefer to call it singles awareness day tbh...)
So, yea. Just because you see things that way it doesn't mean people haven't looked deep enough, or they're biased or ignorant, what makes YOU biased and ignorant is that you're assuming everyone should find it bad, you like valentines day, thats fine, maybe you have a partner to share it with, but remember that it can be a lonely day for the single and many dislike it for that fact (and many find pink frilly hearts and cheesy romance repulsive and cheesy too...)
Not everyone sees it like you do and we have a right to resent the holiday if you wish.

I stopped giving out gifts years ago, and I think for someone like me the holiday is useless. I know just because of today, nothing about love is gonna change for me. I was single yesterday, I'm single today, and I'll be single tomorrow. Love is nothing to me anyway. It just gets in the way, and February 14th is just an excuse to make people believe you're loved, and not to mention it's a waste of money. A card or two and candy are meaningless.

super cute and very funny i love their negative attudes towards valintines day and matts conspircy ideals. 
personaly i truly belive in love and think it's means far more to most than breeding it's about caring about sombody,wanting to be by someones side forever and needing them by yours.(caus they make you happy and you love them)

Valentines day consists of trying not to choke on the love in the air, wondering why our teachers act like pre-teens on crack over plastic flowers and trying not to become target practise for hyperventilating girls with boys that they like (more like stalk) asking me for advice. Even though I've had no proper boyfriend.
So -for me- Valentines is seen as a waste of time, effort and money. Besides, as cynical as it is, most people get rejected by thier 'one and only' love and fall in love with another before the day is out.

I dont know if i believe in love. But i know im destined to die alone as an old woman with two dozen cats, most called Jeff, and be one of those creepy gannys that serve cookies to radome strangers and 'hurhur' to themseves.
Any-hoo~ i gueslove is one of those things that you dont quite know exist like fate, or luck.
I guess if someone 'loved' me i'd love v-day, but curently i spend it sitting at home watching Studio Ghibli movies scarfing down icecream while my classmates live it up with ther "bf's"

I have always felt a dislike towards valentines day because, not just of the stupid cards everywhere, I never had someone and so I was one of the "useless" people the government was trying to get rid of 
I can see why you don't like it and I do beleive that that kind of love is down to getting a fuck. I'm just a little sad how much you deteast it. Yes we do fall in love, have sex, have kids but it really does infect our minds and becomes something more. You may not agree but you can love someone in that way just looking, subconsciously, to breed. I know two people, together for about 30 years, love eachother very much and they don't want kids. It's not on their list of things to do.
I agree that valentines day is a bit crappy and cheesy etc. but love ain't all that bad. Ok scrapy that, it's painfull and shit but it's also the best thing ever. We are just human and ruled by our emotions and hormones, but we've tried to make it something more. So look past the mateing and enjoy yourself
As for valentines day, just think of all the chocolate on sale lol then wait till it blows over.
