After about two years of delaying it, I finally took my time to check out the first season of one of Disney's newest hit shows: Amphibia.

I'll admit when I first started watching the show, I wasn't getting super into it. I mean, I was enjoying it, I found it had a good amount of creativity and humor to it, and the episodes did well at establishing the world and characters. But they were kind of like the filler episodes of Steven Universe; they do well at setting things up and developing characters for you, but for the most part, a lot of it doesn't really tie into anything that major.

However, once we got to "Anne vs Wild," that's where the show began to feel more like a modern Disney series. Like all great animated series of the past decade, the creativity is very imaginative with great animation and visuals, the humor is well-written and timed, the characters are an enjoyable bunch, and it does manage to take itself seriously and give time for more emotional and dramatic moments, all building up to an epic season finale that feel very well earned.

I know I'm only one season in right now, but I can easily say this is up there with Gravity Falls and DuckTales (2017) as one of the best series Disney has put out in recent years. And I can't wait to see the further adventures of Anne and the Plantars in the world of Amphibia.
