I was drooling over Riptide and lamenting how he wasn't human to Kayfedewa . She laughed and agreed, we had a mini-conversation about hot-dogs. I offered to 'humanize' him....If you can't guess who the other two are, you have no clue who Kayfedewa is...

Sooo, BBA (and all characters in it) are Kay's, I just had tons of fun making them grown up boys and girls.

Absolutely positively freaking amazingly awesome!!!! I love the way you did this! How you got all the Blackbloods' markings into the picture, but in a way that makes it look entirely natural! The atmosphere is perfect too- the way you got all the characters' personalities perfect, and what they'd be doing! Blood's all pissed off, and sharpening a knife- and Swifty's trying to be leaderlike while Riptide goofs around!
I also love how you made their shadows those of wolves- such a genius idea! Only Swifty's looks kind of like it's squished beneath her. This is an old pic, so I qon't critique though.
The background looks so realistic, and you can see the sun coming through the tree canopy!
All in all- beautiful picture, and a fave!

I love how Blood is sharpening a weapon and my favorite part are how there shadows are all wolves...LOVE IT man simply love it

Worshipper is a little strong, I thoroughly enjoy my work and working with Kay, but I'd hardly worship it (then again, I don't worship anything).
Ya this was a fun piece, I did a BBA Humanized 2 later on. The quality is a lot better (though I believe I can do much much better now).

Okay, gonna be a liiiiittle critical here.
Firstly, this pic's cool. The clothes and colourings are great, and Bloodspill's expression is just PERFECT. Riptide looks to me like he's talking about piercing his tongue with the arrow and Swifty's telling him how absolutely stupid that would be.
The wolf shadows is a great idea... but.... Swifty's looked to me a little bit like it was being squashed beneath her and was crying out for help.

Wow this is so awesome. I really like the way Riptide looks. I am doing a gift for Kay of him since she allowed me to play him on yahoo. I never thought of what he would look like in human. From what I have read in Kay's comics and on his drawings that is exactly what he would look like. Bllod and Swift look awesome as well. I like the shadow under Swift it looks like her wolf form. ^^

I've gone on far, far, far less to render good character images. The usual request from the forum I attend is usually "Such and such has black hair, blue eyes, and long claws". Never had I access to original artwork by the artist, read itty-bitty thoughts on the characters, read comments on comics which slowly reveal their personalities. Making things look good (no matter the species) is what I strive for. Glad you adore it so much!
