Ferret! He's an NPC that was made for "Just Scratches" a whole year ago (happy birthday Ferret!). Only very recently did he get any concept imagery, but not from me! took a stab at drawing him since he features big in some future challenges by her for . But you can't dangle a design challenge in front of me without me having a go too, so I poked the little guy to get him to reveal his shape.So far, very weasely. He'll probably go through some more evolutions before I decide on exactly what kinds of abilities and build he'll have and I need feedback before I can decide.
Also trying to push story more in each design I do since my portfolio review by Disney guy Kyle at CTN Expo (really, a guy skimmed my sketchbook as I'm a laze and didn't HAVE a port) told me to push story. So STORY! Gonna STORY IT UP!!

Also I fucking ADORE ferrets. But this guy is modeled after the animal as a symbol, not the real thing.
Though he is a scrabbly little hoarding twitchy butt. So I guess that's accurate.

I dig it. Really captures that ferret silhouette without taking it too far from this-guy-used-to-be-human. The pants and suspenders work well with the long ferrety shapes too, I think. Poor fella and his barely-existent waist.

It's a fun design! Umbagog has really had me stop and think carefully about how I structure creatures/people. Since their appearance often contains a lot of symbolism (even when it's "just" a human) each element and addition becomes massively important.
He's a dink though. This is one of those "nice guys" you read complaining on Reddit and crap.
"Why won't that girl like me? I'm so nice! They're obligated to like me because i'm SUCH A NICE GUY!"
His redeeming qualities actually rather sparse, although I'm tickled by his hoarding tendencies. Not because hoarding is in itself a good thing (it irks me fierce, I have family like that and could fall victim myself if I don't watch it) but because it reminds me of my Oscar weasel's behaviors.
