Big ole sketch page of Sugarbell and Half-Dead Michael, inspired by “The Hole”. Trying to think more on their relationship and past. Wendigo are a bit limited because they’re essentially reflections of their hosts, but the interaction btwn host and parasite can be interesting. Knowing The Cat’s abusive past and wondering how Sugarbell reacted to it makes for some disturbing realities. I can’t imagine “she” enjoyed what happened, and some of her hyper aggressive nature stems from that history of abuse (some of which Michael wasn’t even awake for). It’s really no wonder she is so disinterested in coordinating groups or relying on other undead for anything other than sustenance.For

Awwwh I love Sugarbell! (Which is odd given she's a hallucination stand-in for parasitic hellworms...) - I'd love to see more of her. One question; SHE isn't real, but is her talking to Cat actually happening? Or is that just Cat talking to himself mentally?

She is "real" in the sense that the parasitic worms are a separate intelligence latching on to his brain. It's just the way she would communicate with her host without some kind of easily understood translation would be unintelligible gibberish to him (a string of chemical symbols and numbers, I suppose). However her personality and "appearance" are borrowed from him and his past.

Leggy hunched Micheal is the cutest Micheal. Walking away micheal is probably also much safer than any other direction 8D I need to draw SB, kids are so friggin wierd proportioned to me XD

I'm always floored that this dude can somehow be cute. And it's a thing I draw then step back and go "DAMMIT how did you do that?"
I try to avoid woobie-fying him best I can.

I think it's the not trying that helps. I think rattlesnakes and Gaboon vipers are also incredibly cute, so my perspective is not the usual 83 That being said, tigers are awfully graceful and impressive. Though terrifying maneaters, they can still be beautiful and often cute when they are jumping on things and killing them. I suspect it alos helps having a healthy distance of computer screen and internet and reality separating me from him. A tiger is automatically much cuter when they aren't able to reach out and touch you.

Kids are strange. Draw a cartoon chubby bunny first, then remove all the bunny features until you're left with a child.

Sugarbell has been my favorite part about the Cat from the beginning.

I can't decide if he's scarier with or without her. Like, would he still murder without her? Or is she the reason why he conflates sex and cannibalism?
It's there for symbolic purposes, but you could make some interesting arguments about the actual influence of Sugarbell on his mind and whether the Wendigo is really in control or not. In some circumstances, she'd offer a cleaner, quicker death on her own...

I've always liked Sugarbell. I think she could make some really cool appearances.

The middle one of Michael with the blue surrounding him is almost heartbreaking, poor baby.
But then I remember what a giant bag of dicks he is and I don't feel so bad.

Though this now makes me want to draw Lamia being dicks just for sheer contrast. And I've been in a CE doodling mood, but I'm not certain what to draw her reacting to.

You should draw Lamia punching Ferret in the face. It's more than likely canon 8)

Nah, she's not quite that nasty. If she's exceptionally pissed, she's more likely to screech at you than hit. Or throw things. And while Ferret is a pisser and irritating, I'm not sure he could pull the kinds of things that would throw Lamia in a tizzy (making her jealous, for example).
