I had an insane idea.
This is a super macro shot of the bulb of a photogenic studio light as it is going off. The set up was a studio light in back of this lighting up a honey comb that was behind this flash. The trick was using a dark blue and red filter so that very little light got through when they fired...........it took about 2 hours to set up.

The rules stated that it must be a single capture, no manip. So what you see is what I captured with my camera. It has obviously been cropped and had a contrast adjustment, but nothing major at all.

Something interesting to think about: The top abstract image under photography on DA has only 10 +Fav's... so that means if this gets 11, I have the top abstract photograph on DA!... but I doubt it will.
