Description
I was going to post one more shot from the last series of four, but decided I didn't like posting shots where the guardrail acts like an attention whore and distracts from the nice locomotive on the train.I don't get many chances to shoot along the UP Kansas City or Marysville subdivisions, but when I do, it's usually a bunch of coal drags and double stacks; it gets boring really fast, so I'm left having to figure out new ways to take essentially the same goddamn shots over and over again. New locations always help, and this was the case. A unit coal drag (one of UP's ubiquitously mismatched car sets) sits idle while it holds track on Main #1 of the double-main transcon east of Topeka, KS on the Kansas city sub. On the point are UP C44AC-W #6500 and #6711.
