I love this shot. But I had practically no idea what to call it so...
For some reason, this UP coal drag, filled with a mismatched set of coal tipples of various origins and backgrounds, holds track on Main #2 of the Kansas City Sub just east of Topeka, KS. The KC Sub is the eastern-most portion of UP's transcon through Kansas, and is double-mained all the way from the Nebraska state line into Kansas City, KS. So it's unusual to see traffic not moving like this. Up front are UP C44AC-W #6500 and #6711.
