Description Been awhile since I did a black and white shot. This one seemed to just scream for monochrome toning.

An old BN Geep, a GP39E #2762, switches grain hoppers on a local elevator spur in Emporia, KS. The old ATSF cantilever signal bridge is now gone, replaced by a slick, aluminum truss setup.

I hate seeing franken-cabbed GP30s. None the less, research sez: this used to be a Southern GP30 with a high short hood.

Yeah, it's definitely a rebuild. Can't tell from this angle, but it was clear it wasn't like the other Geeps out there.

Oh, it's clear. You just have to look REALLY CLOSE.
Once you get a decent 1/4 side view, it's even easier to see.
