Description
Santa Fe Junction itself is about half a mile wide in "diameter" (if you will), so there are realistically two places to get the best action from here. While the previous couple of shots I've posted are location number 1 (grade level near the diamonds), this is location number two: near the southeast corner of the interlocking, and above grade on a publicly accessible bridge. This portion is also squarely inside the state of Missouri (by about 100 yards). Here, a UP coal drag exercises a trackage rights agreement with BNSF, moving south toward the BNSF Fort Scott Sub from the diverging portion of the KCT High Line coming from UP's Armourdale Yard and the UP KCT Sub, UP AC4400CW #7111 and UP AC44/60CW #7019 leading the way.
A little editing done to this one to add some emphasis to the consist itself, since the background is just busy as hell.
