Derwent graphic pencils, HB,B,2B,6B&8B, on A3 smooth Quill Board paper.I love drawing ballerinas, particularly when photographed in this style. There is a beautiful juxtaposition of strength and flexibility and movement which is divine; this particular image is such an extreme example of that strength and flexibility that I find it breathtaking. I used the amazing 's photo fav.me/d5dyyyc as the reference.

This is also gorgeous. Love the strength in the legs and a lot of credit to you for doing such a hard pose. Your shading is always excellent as well. The texture on the slippers is top notch as well.

I can tell that you loved drawing them. I just love looking at them over and over. And yes, the sress dancers face with their feet would make most people cringe if they could see them. One of the reasons my Aunt wouldn't let me get into ballet professionally.
