Wow, this is amazing. It looks so badass and dangerous, and the detail is immense. Love your sense of anatomy as well. I really like the spines and the sharp-looking chin; makes it look very menacing. Excellent job.

Excellent! Very excellent! I love the design. Terrific details and pose as well. I would like to have the head stand out a little more, right now it blends in a little too much with the rest of the body.

I really like this dragon's design. It's not too complicated, but stands out in all the right places; an interesting set of horns, tough-looking armor of scales, folds in hide where the skin is unprotected and a lovely choice of color as well. I do have a soft spot for wyverns

Actually my original idea was to draw a real dragon instead of a wyvern, calling Wyvern just because I can't think of a better name. Glad you like it. By the way, your work are awesome too. ^v^

If you look at medieval bestiaries, you'll see that dragons are often depicted as 4-limbed, not 6. The distinction between a wyvern and a dragon comes from 16th century heraldry and D&D more than anything.

Agreed, maybe the difference is that dragons are much larger, more intelligent and have the ability to breath fire.

In the bestiaries, the difference seemed to be primarily in their method of reproduction. The adder/wyvern/vipera/wyvre was said to reproduce by biting off the male's head and then the young chewed their way out of their mother. Dragons were described as "the greatest of the seprents" and were shown breathing fire or constricting elephants with their tail (they were inspired by Indian pythons). In the context of fantasy, they can shown anyway the artist chooses, because they're not real...
