a three inch dunny commission i made of a zombie, and the body of another dunny that he just mauled.

Made with two stripped 3" dunnys, super sculpey, and vallejo game color acrylic paints.

•Take the dunny apart, heating it first with a hair dryer on high heat (the head comes off best with an angled, smooth twisting motion, the arms should pop right out)
•To strip a dunny, use clean paper towels, 100% natural REAL rubber gloves, and acetone with plenty of ventilation. (no mask
•Don't get a bunch of acetone on your skin. Follow all directions on container of acetone.
•Moisten the paper towel lightly with acetone.
•Press paper towel against painted area of dunny. Hold it there firmly for a few seconds.
•Wipe firmly and lift the paper towel as you finish wiping.
•Fold the paper towel over and use again. You can use any surface of the paper towel that doesn't have paint on it already, even the other side of thin towels.
•Re-moistening is sometimes not necessary towards the end of the towel.
•Place the stripped parts briefly into a container of water and some regular dish detergent, then swish it around.
*-IMPORTANT: The detergent acts as a stop bath of sorts for the acetone. If left unwashed, the acetone can and *may* eat away or pit the vinyl.-*
•Remove the toy parts from the detergent, rinse with warm water, and pat dry.
•Lay the parts out in a cool dry place on a clean, dry paper towel and allow to dry fully, you can shake off excess water as it collects.

And now you're ready to sculpt, or prime and paint! Sky's the Limit!
