Callista's work in Dernhem didn't slow until the authorities began investigating the disappearances and murders, at which point Albert insisted Jervil let her lie low and stay in hiding. But Jervil had other plans, prompting Callista instead to ply her new trade on the pilgrims who were still infrequently visiting the gardens of the abandoned Mitesceru Manor. Since many of these were already quite devoted to the Harbinger, their abductions proved efficacious for the possessed rat-man's efforts to fulfill Maladyne's plans and send devotees to her with very little converting torture necessary. Jervil's personal research however, slowed.

Albert Fiskerne, on the other hand, began to profit boldly from the venture when he suggested that the blond thief spirit away what Harbinger icons and relics she could safely glean from the Mitesceru estate without compromising the rat-man's directives. These relics soon graced the walls of the Fair Harvest Inn, and in a creative and profitable stroke, Master Fiskerne began spreading the claim that his establishment was indeed the domicile of choice for the Harbinger's devoted making a Mitesceru pilgrimage. "Ye'll find the Lady's holy mark present here as in no other place," and with Callista's efforts, it soon proved true.

The next time we see someone tied up, she'll be a recognizable character. At long last this "little" deviation into Jervil's intimate life is getting to the important stuff.

Callista was drawn using the wonderful imagery of Natalie at fetishfaerie-stock . As I've said on all of Callista's recent pages, Natalie has been a joy to draw for 7 years. Thanks, Natalie! The other ladies were drawn using a combination of references heavily modified so as to be quasi-unrecognizable.
