"Something I've overloo-..." Urged by its own forward momentum, Elina's mind stumbles over the connection before she can backtrack internally. "If Zirena's additions to the mural represent something in the past, then that boy in the right eye-socket must represent something that happened some time ago, perhaps before my uncle began work on the Bookbinding or even before Avora came to work with Maladyne." Behind her spectacles, the Scholar's brow knits in concentration, forcing her mind out radially.

"Or, to affect the horological algorithm, it could represent something even further in the past than that. Something,... or someone. Perhaps the boy is not the symbol, but a real person? A real person who has hidden away the Demon's identity fragment? But whom? And, even if I knew who it was, that still leaves the missing symbol." Momentarily, the Scholar's eyes leave the mural to gaze down at her own sandals, peering out from beneath the lower hem of her dress on the dark flagstones. "If only she'd had a chance to write a message. Anything to tell me the symbol or the identity of the-..." The thought of the flagstones beneath her bearing a written message brings another image to mind. Hastily scrawled on a wall, apparently by the Seeress herself before she had been committed to the Otherness by the mirror, it had seemed nonsensically simple and direct. An answer without a question. "...or the identity of the boy."

And suddenly, Elina knows where the missing identity fragment hides, and the symbol itself becomes clear. There is one more stop to make before she can be sure.

My computer's wireless card went out last night. Got a replacement installed and I'm back in business this evening, but I'm now a page behind. Other, fun announcements need to be made over the weekend.

Elina was drawn using Emily's references from Feathered-pics .This one was another favorite--she called it, "Epiphany." Thanks a bunch, Emily!

Enjoy!

Note: Bookbinding and Demon's Due are a work of fantasy and fiction. The artist/creator in no way condones real mistreatment of this kind toward any woman or man, by living person, gremlin, plant, assassin, ratman, viscous fluid, programmed device, animated home furnishings, or otherworldly spiritual beings. Furthermore, the artist opposes the marginalizing and restriction of women in general by any institution, political and/or religious, including those which have individual women amongst their membership touting/promoting their own happiness within that institution as evidence that ALL women should feel the same way. This includes the religion I was raised in and which I have utterly discarded from my life over this and other issues.

Interestingly enough, a lot of what I find to be your sexiest images don't actually have much "action" going on in them, but have it all in the expression. This is one of 'em! Well done!

Wonderful!  You captured the exact instant Gus-the-Gremiln ducked under Elina's skirt, reached up, and put his cold little hands on her thighs.

And that is the story of how Elina learned that you shouldn't just insert commas wherever you feel like. Seems like some of my wild-eyed speculations might not have been that far off the mark. Looking forward to the next one.

And it looks like Elina is about to go full circle on her undercellar adventure.

Indeed, she did, and she is, at that.

"That's it, it's buried under a giant W...."

This one would be a easy blooper with the simple addition of a cartoon light bulb lit up over her head.

I always felt bad for Culpepper in that movie, but I remember laughing pretty hard at the whole rescue ladder scene as a kid.

Mostly what I remember of that film was the part where the guy's car ended up going into the river and he was yelling at the kid on the shore...I really want to find that movie again...
