LOPP! The sound of flat wood meeting soft flesh echoes about the servant’s pantry, joined by the immediate gasp of the woman who feels it. Deirdre’s entire figure tenses over the chair back as the shocking pain rolls through her body and mind, an insidious combination of deep thud and sharp sting. Through the red haze and heat of the pain’s subsiding, she hears the innkeeper’s voice somewhere above her.
“Keep the count, girl,” he barks. “Ye’ve felt the pain and ye know what’s to come. Five days ye’ve balked at my needs and instructions, so ye’ll take five more. Do ye hear me?”
Deirdre’s gasp becomes a forced exhalation, a sigh of great effort on the verge of a growl of exertion. It passes, and in the silence of its wake, Deirdre whispers, “Yes, Master Fiskerne.”

Okay, it's likely to anger a few folks, but we're going to pause this scene right here. Of the pages that immediately follow this one, I've got one I'm considering as the cover piece for Tangled Threads, Part 2, so it'll get posted as well, just without the narrative. Obviously, the entire scene will be available in the publication of Tangled Threads, Part 2. I will post a thumbnail summary of the publication just like that of Tangled Threads, Part 1 above. And, at the rate I'm finishing up the art for it, I should be getting proofs for the paperback version of Part 2 in early July and make the paperback version available for purchase by the end of that month. The digital version will follow within a week or two. And, Part 3 should follow suit perhaps a month later, as the artwork for that one is already mostly done.
Deirdre was drawn using the reference material provided me by Viator-Defessus and "the model." My thanks to these wonderful collaborators!

You know I always feel compelled to say something when one of your drawings is particularly incredible, and this is one of those ... the tension in her muscles, the way her hair flies, the whole image is dynamic, it seems to be completely 'live.' Now, Big Al's hand is really really big, but that's the point I suppose, and for sure his hand isn't really the part of the image that's attracting attention anyway. I suspect you could've drawn Sponge Bob in the upper right corner and most of us wouldn't have noticed.

And it commences! Witnesses and all, and I don't mean the holy kind. Fyi, I know that this use model references, so you don't get EVERYTHING, but given how I'm in awe of the size of that absolute unit of a man there, I think her bottom would compress just a little bit more from the impact.

It was just the only note I could think of, your art is really superb and I've enjoyed seeing it every post. I was just looking at the conveyance of energy and the sense of impact, especially considering the build-up to the moment of the first hit (the one that really has to set the impression). But I mean, this isn't really a story focused on the spanking content, this is just a scene that includes this sort of thing. Meanwhile I keep frequenting this type of art in other places, so I see a lot of positions, characters and situations

Yes, I can see your point there. And that point will probably be reinforced by the "break" we're taking from this scene now, which makes this image kind of a "splash ending" to cut on, kind of like this one...
