Abruptly the pressure of the massive seed passes her mouth and triggers her swallowing reflex, and as Avora painfully gulps the squishy body down her throat, she hears another muted pop, like a cough occurring in reverse. Pollen erupts throughout her mouth and nostrils, filling her senses with stinging light. At the same time, the tankroot trees’ coiled limbs relax their grip on her wrists, and the pent up motion that was so kept in check during the last moments of her struggle is now suddenly free. Avora rises up, her arms reaching out and over her sides, grasping freely at the air as if by so doing she could take it within her aching chest and throat. The reverse cough occurs again, this time erupting in a cloud of particulates that bubble forth from her nose and the edges of her mouth, expelled into the air to settle quickly toward the earth.
The black dust immediately deadens Avora’s mind and her senses, leaving her barely aware of the tendrils that release her neck and hair. The Sleeper’s Bane seed has been implanted, leaving a vague fear and anticipation of coming death in its wake, but the wizardess finds it nigh impossible to concentrate on her situation or any course of action to deal with it. The cool mist of the garden now grows stronger about her, bringing a shiver to her skin as the wizardess sways in place. She is barely conscious of the now deflating stalk still occupying her mouth, its hard shell losing volume and solidity to shrivel between her lips and teeth.

Again, Avora was drawn using the reference material given me by photographer Viator-Defessus and the model we call "Ava." They made the retelling of this tale in pictures possible for me, and I'm very grateful for their contribution.
