Other then the obvious nordic Valkyrie myth, I got inspiration from the armor of Louis XIV and the statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace.I was so enthusiastic when my client requested a full plate Valkyrie type armor to wear in her professional equastrian show. I knew it could be a great opportunity to design a wing based design. I drew and sculpted the base shape wings out of apoxy sculpt and molded+casted those into the design. I went for a classic silver with gold trim armor that would look great up close and far off. The dress has a long 3 meter train to create a dramatic draped effect when she rides her mighty horse!

Something about the gracefulness, mixed with the very slick, cool design of the armour makes me think "cavalry". The wings also solidify that thought, as they make me think of the Winged Hussars.
