This is another image showing the evolution of the Roman army, starting with the Polybian Legion, i.e. Hastati, Principe, and Triarii. The men in the middle represent the transition from Republic to Empire, and lastly the Imperial era.Related content

Because it's not the same troop changing armors and weapons as time goes by, it's random troops from random times, rather unrelated to each other.

It simply shows how various Roman soldiers appeared through the centuries but there is indeed also classic evolution included.Just focus only on Legionaries and you will see evolution of Legionary soldier from late republic to opening centuries of the late antiquity.Notice that there is also part II to this :fall3nairborne.deviantart.com/… .
However it is very simplified evolution and I want to do my own much more detailed one day.

It's war-elution. It so obviously displays how Roman soldiers warvoluted their soldiers.
