Shani didn't know what to bring. She had no idea if she should bring a tent or blankets or anything like that. She wasn't sure that Anwar would be all too thrilled about having to haul all of that around anyway. While she was confident in her choice of mount, there was a worry in the back of her mind. Hailey did have a point - Anwar had been bred for war, and he loved to shed blood. What if going back to Alderann would cause some kind of psychological breakdown, and all of their hard work was just a waste? Would she have to leave Anwar there or would he even be willing to come back home? Where was home, exactly, to him? Shani shook her head. These thoughts were useless to her. She trusted Anwar. They had been working hard to gain each other's trust, and she was even able to ride him around the farm. Surely all of that couldn't go to waste. Anwar would be okay.
After pulling on her boots and grabbing her cloak, Shani headed out to the barn where the Snjorrirs were kept. Figuring out what to wear had been a struggle. What was the apparel like in Alderann? She'd probably stick out like a sore thumb. To keep on the down low, she had gone with darker and more neutral shades. It was different than her normal bright get up, but she also wanted to be comfortable. She really had no idea what was ahead of her.
Anwar was down in his stall, the last down on the end of the barn. He hardly gave Shani a second glance when she came up to his stall. By now, he'd gotten used to her pesky self. She was always buzzing around, it seemed. And she fed him apples, which was cool with him. When he heard the stall latch, however, his head shot up. Ears pinning, Anwar watched the blonde as she came into the stall. He hated that. This was his space. Not hers. So why did she come in here? Still, he had learned not to attack her. So with a look that could kill, Anwar's eyes stayed trained on the blonde and the ropes in her hands. He knew what those meant. He immediately raised his head up, but Shani had become used to his tricks and threw the rope over his neck before guiding his head back down. She slid the halter onto his head and then led him from the stall.
Shani spent some time grooming the stallion before tacking him up. She wanted Anwar to be as comfortable as she was, so she went with a lightweight set and a simple green saddle pad. He fidgeted some as she adjusted everything, but otherwise he behaved himself. Shani was glad for that. She wasn't sure how long the trip to Alderann would be.

The trip was certainly interesting, but at last Shani and Anwar had made it to Alderann. At first, Anwar was as calm as he had been when they left, but the further they traveled, the more excited he became. He knew where he was, he could feel it. All of those old memories came flooding back. Shani gathered the reins, trying to contain the excitement. The last thing she needed was for him to bolt off. Anwar fought with her, head tossing, but soon settled back down. He figured he'd have his time later on.
The next task was to find the camp where they were supposed to meet. It didn't take too long to find. They arrived at the camp where Shani dismounted and led Anwar forward, looking around as they went. Some seemed to have already arrived as well, and Shani was left to wonder how many more would come. It seemed that she was to settle down for a little before they could continue on. Who was in charge here anyway? The thoughts were shook from her head, though, as Anwar jerked on the reins. Frowning, Shani glanced at him. His ears were pinned, teeth barred. She had walked a little too close to one of the other teams. Anwar wasn't a good team player. Immediately, Shani pulled him away. The last thing they needed was for Anwar to pick a fight.
With a sigh, Shani led Anwar to a spot away from everyone else to await the next task.
