Description
Survivor Number: #34
Rider(s): Kastiel Volpe
Horse(s): Daedalus 767 , Napayshni 898

Kastiel marched down the stable aisle, a grin plastered across her face. She had only come back from the Outlaw Trail a few days ago and had requested some rest, but as soon as she heard about a cruise.. she was up and gone. She wouldn't mind that at all. Her skin was nearly paper white, and a little tan wouldn't have done any harm. Plus she had never been on a cruise before, and Kas being Kas.. she always loved a new adventure.

The owner suggested she take along two more experienced show horses, but Kastiel argued that it would be a great learning experience for the others. After a heated argument, the demon finally got her way, and they managed to settle on Daedalus and Napayshni. While Napa had more showing experience, she argued that he would set a great example for their newer addition to the stable. She had also pointed out that the ol' grump of a stallion never went two feet off the property - if he could help it - and needed to get out more. As for Daedalus.. he was just her favorite.

After two days of running around like chickens with their heads cut off, the staff finally had everything prepared for the cruise, demanding everything and anything to make the two stallions as comfortable as possible. Some even called the cruiseline to insure safe and secure stalling. Sometimes Kastiel thought they went a little overboard (no pun intended.. hah), and this time she was right. Why they made a fuss, she had no idea. She just sat aside, letting them worry about their things while she herself packed a bag for the trip. At the end of the second day, the stallions were loaded up, and Kastiel was on her way.

"Look alive, men!"

In her short shorts, rhinestone belt and deep red tank top, Kastiel went barefoot down to the stalls where all of the horses were. She ignored some of the looks the other horses and riders gave her. It wasn't the first time they judged her for being a demon. Most people did.. and it was probably better that way. Stopping in front of first Dae, she took hold of his halter and hesitated a moment before slipping it over his head. He didn't look as responsive as he normally would have, and he had a sort of "sick vibe" that made Kas nervous. She tried to push the thought away and went over to Napa and repeated the process. Smiling - or something like that - she grabbed their leads and walked them out onto the main deck. She had seen others with their horses up here and had decided that the boys could use some fresh air - especially Dae.

"Nice up here, isn't it?" she mumbled - half to herself, half to the horses. Dropping the leads, she walked over to the railing, stretching her arms up over her head. She glanced around for a moment before lowering her arms again and turning around. Whatever joy she felt in that moment quickly vanished when she saw Dae. He had his head lowered and was fighting hard to keep from swaying. If horses could throw up, she was sure he would have been. Frowning, Kastiel walked over and gently stroked him. She had hoped that the fresh air might make him feel better, but instead, the sight and smell of the water had only made it worse. A seasick horse. Now there's a new one.

Sighing, Kastiel picked up their leads and led them back to their stalls, deciding Dae would be better off down there. The stallion shuffle uneasily in his stall, looking completely miserable. Kas felt even worse. So much for all of the hard work put into trying to make them comfortable. Even Napa, standing in the stall next to him with his ears lowered, looked sympathetic. To make matters worse, Kas didn't know how to react in this type of situation. For now she just stayed with the two stallions, taking turns grooming and talking to them.

Note: they aren't wearing any halters and Kastiel is missing her tattoo. Why? Because my laptop broke when I was doing this. It's finished enough that I can use it, but as soon as I have another moment, i'll go back in and fix it. (Got my laptop working.. for the most part..)
