One, two, three...
I paint a pretty sun
I'm almost done
I paint a pretty grave
It's engraved
I paint a pretty star
Now this picture looks bizarre

I saved this stroke for last
Because it's the stroke that makes me forget my past

I painted this pretty picture
Now a fountain has appeared
Its spilling, flowing, gushing
With this picture my problems disappear

At least that's what I thought
Staring at this twisted picture I drew
And how I wish you knew
I painted this picture because of you

Now I painted a pretty picture
But you see this picture has a twist
I painted this picture
With a razor as my brush
And my canvas as my wrist

And if only they knew about this painting
That is scarred along my wrist
Maybe then someone would have realized
I no longer want to exist

I know that you are hurt
But please bury me in the dirt
And on my grave
Place a pure white dove
To warn this world, I died for love

Now this painting is finished
It's covered in red
Looking at it, I begin to cry
You didn't have to break my heart, and I didn't have to die.

Your life wasn't all bad
What about all the future memories we should have made?
And the hope we had?
Your life was what you paid
