I was at a loss for which category to put this in. Feel free to suggest a better one.Mechanical pencil on 8.5x11 paper (2 hours?), painting in Photoshop 7 with 4x6 Wacom (around 8 hours)
She is supposed to look like both a bride and a widow. Feel free to debate the statement, if you think there is one. But I'm more concerned with critique n_~
And for the record... I can't stand the nipples. Remind me not to draw them next time.

I really like this alot. I think the veil and headpiece is my favorite part.
However, because this gives off the feeling of being a 'silent' piece, the 'fanservice' you supplied by making her nipples prominent doesn't agree with me. Totally IMO, of course. Also, I may not of had the lower part of her gown hang so low on her hips. It looks to be falling off... and it even makes it look sloppy towards the bottom.
Otherwise, I enjoy everything else.

Um... Nipples. Any reason they're hard? Otherwise, for your style, this is very good. You probably already noticed your mistake on the stomach, so no bother, but the left shoulder looks like it has some odd shading. A few tweaks and it's all good. Better, in fact.

Eeeeeeeeh to me there alot wrong with this, breast seem to low for comfort, back exposed shows the features of a man, face, uhhh thats anime, but still looks nice, arms seem a lil odd, as in for arms, seems a lil small, porportions seems off, hand seems VERY small.....have you taken a look at a anatomy book recently?.........other then that nice on coloring and wrinkles, but try doing just nude sketches and finalized drawings, the clothing and coloring you got down, anatomy is all i see wrong now....unless you plan on exagerating the anatomy to your own style like the animator for Alexander the Great anime series....but uhhh yeah..
i really wish i had art of mine that you could critque but all my art is to large and i dont have a camera...so i feel weird giving you these tips without being able to show it, so feel free to not take the suggestions.....

Your anatomy is quite beautiful but if you feel it needs tweaking then it needs tweaking. It could just be me but the head seems a little off. It isn't a big deal and it gives the picture more of a story to tell.
What I like most about this picture is your use of color. It conveys mixed emotions while still telling a story. If there would be one thing that I'd have to say needs a bit of workign on are the nipples (as you have already said). They draw the eye in directy to the breasts instead of the over all picture. Perhaps you could make them a bit small next time? Just some advice from a girl to a boy.

for some reason the exposure of her stomach, and the promineant breasts/ nipples makes me feel like she is pregnant. this picture has a very maternal feel for me.

You should leave the nipples. her shirt looks too thin for them to not be visible. Maybe you could make them a little shorter, next time? Or make her clothing heavier, thicker. Such as it is, it looks like Superhero bodypaint. Not a complaint, just an opinion

As usual your art blows me away! But.. her body.. doesn't seem.. right.. I dunno maybe it's cause of the fact that she's brining ther sholders together in the front, but around how the skirt hangs dangerously low like.. o_o I"m glad that it's not a few cm lower.

she is certainly sad and not happy, and that is accurate to widows, but i think if you wanted to do it with the clothing you might want to have not made it so elaborate and fancy. it is dark, but still fancy. VERY BEAUTIFUL (i am actually considering having it made for when i get married with my wife... one of these days...) but its definetly NOT widowlike.. at least not in my perspective. but the general feel and the facial expression suggests marital sadness which is where (i figure) the image is supposed to be headed... good show

I love the detail you used and the heavy shading that you did on the body, it is a very amazing dress, although I feel at times that because of the way you rendered it it appears uncomplete, something about it... otherwise the detail on the arms and the tiara---like...---head plate... -coughs- thing... are very much focus points.

Whenever I have trouble deciding where to put my stuff, I stick it in miscellaneous.
Unforunately, that's probably were all my stuff has ended up, lol.
But I love this. I love the details in the body. You did a great job with the coloring. I think she kind of has that widow-bride look, mainly due to the veil over her eyes and the colors. I agree with scarrdheart that the breasts seem rather light; they should be pretty dark underneath, but it also depends on the light source you had in mind. I think in general you can have higher-contrasting shadows/areas; it might help promote the mood you have going here. Otherwise a very successful piece. Good work

I think you portrayed exactly what you intended to in this photo. It looks both likea thin woman waiting to be married but also a whithered widow, thinned from the loss of her loved one. The clothing is beautiful as well at the detail. It's both dark yet hopeful. I don't see anything wrong with the nipples but I think maybe the color is too light on the breasts - it seems to be a draw point - which might not the best of things.

In my opinion it looks pretty perverted, and her skirt is about to fall off of her.
She's obviously not wearing any underwear.
I don't know what widow in her right mind would dress like that, and I think wedding dresses should leave SOMETHING to the imagination... but the problem is, by the time most people get married nowadays, nothing has been left to the imagination at all...
