I feel for Derpy since I act pretty Derpy. I remember people trying to make me talk and when I did, I was called "stupid","weird", "freak",etc.

They're trying to make her just like every other pony by fixing her eyes and voice.

Its their show...their creative writing board can do whatever they want with it. If they think Derpy isn't a too-acceptable name or action, they should be able to change the name without having people freak out...

They could've done a whole episode about Derpy, the lesson being that even though a pony is different, they can still be as good as a friend than anypony, but no, let's pretend the mentally handicap don't exist because it's inhumane.
