Description
Photo from last week when we were rushing to make a sample Mother of the Bride outfit jacket for the wedding fair on the Saturday. We didn't quite finish sewing the jacket together in time for the wedding fair and so Clare sat on the stall doing the final hand stitching instead of wearing it.Fabric is a polyester satin back dupion.
Our embroidery design is approx 200mm (8") wide by 400mm (16") tall and is 14 thousand stitches.
The backing is 2 layers of 35gsm directional tearaway with one layer of madeira self adhesive stitched to the central area to hold the fabric in place. This avoids having to hoop the fabric itself so we don't risk marking the fabric. Not really a good choice as it took about an hour to strip out all the bits of backing.
Feel free to download the image for personal use (eg screensaver, pinterest, facebook, tumblr, etc) as is, but no derivative works or commercial use please.
