Of Moon and Fly
A personal version of Laura Moon from American gods. If you have not seen the show, the Model is Emily Browning acting as Laura Moon who comes back from the dead after a tragic incident - hence the flies... It seems I'm really intrigued by tragic characters.
It is merely an impressionism study to follow up with my habit of getting better at mastering expressions and composition at the square-format.

I'm just about in love with the seeming iridescence of this moving artwork. The darkness adds to the depth of emotion on her face, while the flakes of color remind me of butterfly wings- only visible from certain angles. This seems to be in between the flitting rainbow of iridescence and darkness of tragic emotion. Fantastic work!
