▷ Instagram ▷ Gumroad ▷ Patreon ▷ Official ShopWho is up for another Witcher game? Perhaps on the PS5 😉
Long time no talk, I‘m super busy working on new stuff. Since No one knows how long We are not able to make money, its time to paint - which is something I can‘t do as much when I earn something - crazy art-business 😆
This piece started before I watched the Witcher Series and changed it a bit throughout the course. Actually I don't want to limit my work by the limitations of characters, but whenever there is an opportunity to give a piece a deeper meaning, I try to add that.
In this case it is the fact that the Witcher does not kill dragons.
In this piece I scribbled the composition first and went all for the monster, which looked more like a dragon. I looked at some of the monsters in the Witcher universe and except for the Leshen, I don't like the look of the most creatures and they are all tiny
So I created my own
And that is a mutated dragon creature.
Since Geralt is also a mutant, he is facing his demons right there (his inner and outer) - and thus he is very undecided about what to do
The piece was all inspired by the background Landscape from Sidney Richard Percy from around 1870ies as he painted many Skye related works.
Geralt is actually based on a wallpaper version that I liked from CKGoksoy but apart from the pose, which I believe is from a promotional art, I changed a lot. Since that stare fitted so good into the composition, I decided to go with this altered version of Geralt.
I changed the tones to meet the dark atmosphere of the Witcher Series.
Here's a close-up:
Oh, and the burning sword was something I had to do, to lead some attention to the Witcher. It is also possible to do that in the game, so I thought - why not? It looks cool
As always, Patrons see it first.

Thank you very much!
I also have Procreate and iPad, but when it comes to painting I need the grip of the wacom stylus and the control that Photoshop gives me. Can't really explain why
