Since Shay lives by the Templar's creed and shows mercy(even to his enemies). He would be considered Lawful Evil or Lawful Neutral since he doesn't always agree with the Templars' decisions and was devastated when he inadvertently slaughtered thousands of civilians in Lisbon. Also, he showed remorse when killing Assassins he knew, such as Liam and Hope. Additionally, he didn't enjoy killing Assassin's he wasn't personally familiar with. Furthermore, Shay dislikes killing those he believes are weak or defenseless. Shay is also determined to help those in need, as shown when he funded numerous renovations and fought oppressive Assassin-affiliated gangs, improving standards of living. Lastly, Shay repays those who help him, such as Colonel Monro and the Finnegans.
