thanks for your comment and for stopping by my gallery. you are right about the straight lines...I usually don't have my camera with me when birds do cool stuff...and then nobody believes me when describe it. I think they do that on purpose to drive us nuts...sort of like the "divebomb" missions...I am pretty sure they have a scoring system for when they are able to aim their poop and actually hit a target ie: car window...top of human head. LOL!

these little birds weren't quite as easy to bribe as the seagulls...but once they ate my entire pretzel and were exhausted and full they were willing to line up for this picture. (getting them to look at the camera and smile would have cost more than the bag of pretzels...so I just took what I could afford from them!)

This is another one taken at Niagra. There was a rest area at the top of one of the falls with the benchs and a snack bar. These birds were eating my pretzels with me and got tired and just sat there waiting for dessert.

Sadly the Uk's resident sparrow population has declined alot over the years...
Hopefully they will return...
I understand that these(as well as the European Starling you have in USA) are abit of a controversial subject..
Anyhow...I love this shot...
I really like the perspective and the balance to the image that the little female sparrow on the floor provides...
At the moment we do not have much chance of being able to catch an image like that here...

Thanks! People don't appreciate the beauty of the little birds here! I know areas where kids go out and shoot these birds with pellet guns...I would not do well at controlling myself around that activity! I really love birds! I go into New York City with a bag of bread just to feed the pigeons. People look at me like I have three heads! I think pigeons are so incredibly diverse! No two are identical....the colors are amazing! People hate them because they poop on everything. I think there are worse things in the world than pigeon poop! LOL! Don't get me started!
