Do you know how heavy words are?
Imagine carrying the stars, like glowing balloons and then suddenly...
BAM!
The weight of all the earth is upon you...those thousands of lights all scatter and dim, all because of one word...
Have you ever questioned the price of a phone call...
how each word is a treasure from a far of land, made only for your ears...
it's hard for me to get by without those phone calls...
They're my connection to the world full of important and loving souls who want me to know that even though they can't touch me physically, they still want to touch my heart...
I spend a majority of my time with my treasured words...
passing them through invisible wires so thin you could have sworn a spider wove it, and like Charlotte's web every letter is "terrific"...
people underestimate the power of a word, because they don't know what it's like to cling to words for comfort...
and I don't mean books, fairy tales where the knight becomes the princess and the wishes come true...
I mean WORDS... The words somebody told you long ago that made you feel safe...the words that were written down so that you could know that SOMEBODY loves you...
But for every word...
There's a catch...
not every word can just roll off the tongue and still be more than okay...
you have to know who you're talking to...
what you say...
otherwise words...
become wounds...
and wounds...
become another weight on the shoulders of somebody who swore they were loved...
....Words..
....The tools of murder....
...The joy of life....
...The scale I've been chosen to hold...
