I've seen far more men into the really violent stuff. There are things I'd consider really violent that men wouldn't though. Hard to explain but I'll give it a go.
Personally it's not really the death that interests me. I think my interest is basically a sub-category of "vore" that you could call "life-drain vore".
To me a victim can't be more totally owned/dominated than having their life force drained by a more powerful being (a demon, witch, sorcerer, whatever).
When you think about it, it's still quite similar to vanilla vore.. i.e. a snake swallowing a girl basically absorbs her life energies into itself. The girls dying is just a byproduct of the deed.
I'd probably be just as happy if the girl survived after Meg drains her, but perhaps without her soul? or something like that. As long as something is forcefully 'taken' from her.
I'm not really a fan of true "violent rape" either. I prefer the kind of rape where the girl slowly gives in and eventually enjoys herself (i.e most tentacle hentai). As you put it, "becoming a willing lover" (at least physically.. but they are mentally dominated).
We also grow up where most stories have a happy ending, the villain is foiled, the damsel is rescued, and so on. But I would guess that they might have a grudge against females, born out of rejection, lack of sex, etc. I feel that way to a degree. I only really like vore when it's non-fatal so I come at it from a different angle. It's the enveloped aspect of being inside this thing especially if there's something sexual going on inside. It's why I like a lot of Faustie's vore stuff, it often involves the woman having sex with tentacles inside the creature and doesn't involve explicit death (and my imagination can cut away any implicit part).
The bad guy winning part makes sense but it doesn't need to be so extreme for me. Meg wins just as much by sexually tormenting and teasing this girl until the girl succumbs and is left as sexually deviant as Meg. Meg's obviously won and will lure more girls into her swamp (and presumably guys but they don't interest me so that's between Meg and them). She's taking something from the girl forcefully anyway, making her do something she would do otherwise.
There's no "this might happen and you might like it" for me either. Maybe the difference is because I have that anatomy the suspension of disbelief is too hard to me because I know the limits of my vagina and what it feels like when something hits my cervix.
