Description
My own alternative Wingull evo, Blueby (blue + booby)!Blueby. The Sea-Farer Fakémon. Water//Flying Type. Abilities: Keen Eye//Drizzle//HA: Storm-Farer*
Base Stats - Total: 440
HP: 60
Attack: 95
Defense: 70
Spl. Attack: 50
Spl. Defence: 100
Speed: 65
Sample moves: Teeter Dance, Dive, Brave Bird, Wing Attack, Scald, Roost.
*Storm-Farer: The user’s Special Defence is doubled due to a life spent on stormy seas.
Fun Fact: Blue-Footed Boobys are my favourite birds, and I desperately want a Pokémon of one to exist at some stage. Until then, Blueby can keep the seat warm.

I think if you saw them side by side it would look like more of an alt evo as these guys are way bigger and chunkier than Wingull. I also have a further evolution for it that I haven’t posted, so it’s more of an ‘intermediary’ stage of that makes sense. As for Stormfarer, the idea was to have a spl defence fur coat - so it’s used to a life at sea enduring storms and winds constantly etc so it’s resistance to spl attacks has built up as a result

You know how much I adore this design, it's just absolutely perfect!
This artwork seems flat to me. I didn't even notice it had a highlight until I really zoomed in, but it just seems very flat, like where the shadow comes in, the line seems very harsh, white white white GREY!!! haha Idk it just seems harsh there, and then the feet look like they barely have any shadow too.
I enjoy the shadow at the head/neck (although it still seems flat) but I like the swoop of it matching the waving swoop of his head/beak, it has a very beachy vibe, I like it.
It's obviously not horrible or anything, but compared to your other recent artwork this one seems more flat to me personally.

Totally fair - tbh I wasn’t too concerned with the shading and the highlight was an afterthought. I was just trying to practice my digital lines, so your critique would be fairly accurate, haha.
