Luv it!
Be interested to know if the inspiration of the pose came from the model, your direction or a combination.

My direction and, moreover, my angle

Almost symmetrical if it wasn't for the slight askewed angle of her right arm (or our left) in comparison to her straight left arm (or our right). Her leg line is perfect, straight. Interesting crop of her body in that pose. Mai

i really like the composition you built with the pose; the light is really well managed as well...i like the paralel approach of it to pauline's body

Love this shot. She absolutely looks like a statue on display. Such a tight pose, not just any model could pull this off and you were definately right to light it so delicately. Was that just one softbox or was there more involved that I can't see, a halo lamp maybe?

fb101 In reply to mongolShawn [2005-05-17 06:01:45 +0000 UTC]
Hi Shawn,
One softbox to the right, (an angle of about 60Β°) and another one to the left facing the background. the idea is to have the light almost parrall to her body. Nothing direct, just a fringe....Many trials and Pauline ended up with cramps; She is now happy with the result, though

She should be. There's rarely been a more wonderful photo of the human form that captures its beauty and majesty so perfectly.
And thanks for the lighting tips.

the ankle is simply perfect. the shadow on the left side makes it look somewhat natural, the torso is perfectly shown. all in all, i am speechless. i wish i could give you an advanced critique, but you made it perfect in my opinion.

looks like Pauline likes nice angles
Great shot, however, I prefer frontside shots (ceci n'implique que moi--je ne veux surtout pas te dire ce que tu as a faire, o grand maitre du grain d'argent digital

Unbelievably beautiful shot - you certainly know how to implement the nude body as a true artistic medium. I've been watching you for a while and I thought it was about time I've said how much I appreciate the wonderful work you do. You seem to have the most intriguing concepts that are well excuted in all your works. Great job, yet again!

Out of the last 7 you submitted, this one is definately my favorite! It instantly caught my eye. The picture's left side of the body seems to be cut out, almost pieced together, while the right side blends right in. It's definately not your typical nude shot. Exellent.

This is one of your best photographs. Those rock-hard nipples make the mirror symmetry of the scene stand out in a very sharp way.

Have you ever read ERB's "Chessmen of Mars"? If I were one of the "chessmen" I'd want that headless woman for a body!
I love the poses you orchestrate. Your lighting has been (at least it seems that way) very simple lately and I like it a lot.
