This is super awesome, and I am not criticizing this work, however I would love to see you do Β a male in the redbird and the female cardinal in the female cardinal colors. IMO, the female colors are gorgeous as they are golden olives, very sweet earth tones. Β there are yellows, oranges, some red and magenta blended in a female northern cardinal, Β This is most excellent work you have here.

It would be interesting. Β The male cardinal is galliant as in protecting Β the female by chasing her away from danger or by distracting the danger. Β He is not angry at all, he is joyous and sings up to 200 times a day. But he is very serious, and not interested in outside issues but rather keeping himself looking good, getting a mate and running his territory. Β Just giving you an idea of the actual bird's personality in real life. but in art you can do anything you want. and you did a great job!

This is a great concept,
I really like the classic portrait layout.
Warm colors and an simple background
let the eye wander to the point of the painting.
I like the changeover from the hair to
the feathers, you defied the hairline soft
but clear. I also like the allusion to the
pointy feathers at the head of the cardinal.
But one point:
In my opinion you could have chop the dark
feathers more from the skin, it looks a little
like veeeery blurred mascara. ^^
Anyways, a cool idea and a good ignition.
