Description : Enigmatic shockwaves come after a delay,
: hinting at deeper insight propelled by sound.

For this work I much advanced my ability to form nebulae. Ion thruster trails are too fun not to add in, not to mention a distant galaxy. Several 'hero' stars dot the clouds. Some kind of stellar impact or something else awesome has hit the surface of the planet!

Comments are always welcome.

Inspired by syrup, popsicles, and Darth Vader (of course).
If you're into space immersion and funtimes, you might be interested in listening to Zallex! zallex.bandcamp.com/album/syna… Great atmospheric sound.

Liking the colour scheme. If you were interested in designing some higher res fractals which work really well as nebulae, try out a software (free) called Apophysis, it's what I use.

Thanks!
I actually did use Apophysis for this fractal... however I probably could have optimized it better. Recently I upgraded to 'Apophysis 7x' so that's opened up more fractal options! My next piece should involve another nebula technique, so we'll see how that goes too.

Try to go full bored to build a nice stock folder first. Simple blending techniques combining upwards of 6+ layers can give such a realistic feel. Fractals with black areas can be used directly as shadows on coloured areas.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to be doing a lot of experimentation!

Best way to find your technique

So reading this again, I just wanna let you know I have a humongous fractals stock folder now!

Very nice. Love the colours... With such a light impact on the planet. It may be nice to have some shadows behind the planet

Good point. I'll improve the shadows there...
Thanks for the suggestion!

If only I could make X-Wings, that would spice up the space!
