So some of you may recall how I had to give up adobe photoshop due to my current budget--another year of Creative Cloud would have hit me hard. Since then, I've been looking for another animation tool I can use that's flexible, stable, and affordable, and overall just plain useful. I think I may have found one for now, which is PAP4.0 ("Animation Paper").

This is a rough animation test I did of my character, Jeiokha, from Underwing. In animation, a shot like this is called a "Take," and involves a change of character expression. Here he's going from content, to really excited about something. I'm currently working on outlining coloring, and shading the 26 frames as I get familiar with the program.

It will come in handy, I think, for a lot of great stuff coming up!
