This piece was part of my AP Studio Art portfolio, and is also part of the 100 themes challenge, #53 Keeping a Secret. Info on both of these is here: [link]If you can't tell, this is a silhouette of two girls, one whispering in the other's ear. The meaning is kind of up for interpretation. Anyway, the piece was done in watercolor. Technique used: background is pastel pink and green dry brushing followed by water brushing. Foreground is just pure black watercolor.

YEA! AP work is coming up! I always did like the ambiguity of this piece, and, with all the ones from this set, the awesome watercolor background. I have no suggestions besides the one that, if you were to do a similar piece, that a cutaway, perhaps not blacking out a strip of the jawline to give the face some definition? So that is doesn't clash with the other.

Yeah! Thanks. I like the whole watercolor thing too. And this one? Yeah, this one was by far the worst out of all of my AP pieces. Which is why I posted it first! Well, besides Frozen Life. This one was a product of my "full frontal freak out" mode that happened about two or three weeks before the semester ended. Basically the time where I was like "Okay, I need 30 pieces. How many to I have? 18. Crap..." and basically punched out a whole bunch of crap pieces just to fill in the portfolio.

Oh dear. Yea, with all the other stuff going on, I would've died in AP Art. But, hey, you pulled it off, didn't you? That in and of itself is an accomplishment.

srry about my not being at my house...i coulda sworn i had told you i was at the dorms....oh well.
unless i can get someone to watch my brother while i'm at the party...i'm not sure i can go. i'm babysitting one of my brothers for a week and a half, and your party is smack dab in the middle of it. I'll see what i can do...

Thanks! I'm glad you like this one so much! As I explained to SakuraLuna (see my response to her comment) this is actually the worst piece in my portfolio, so I'm surprised you like it that much. And if you really DO like this one, I can't wait to see what you think of the rest of my portfolio!
And you probably did tell me you were gonna be at the dorms. I just forgot, is all. It's weird to think of people not living at their houses.
And I really hope you can work out something so that you can at least stop by the party! I'd really like to see you there.
