Another AP piece and part of the 100 themes challenge! The word for this one was "Solitude" as you can probably guess...Anyway, the background for this was just a crosshatched watercolor wash. After the wash, I used a mask to mark out the brick pattern, then did several layers of drybrushing for the brick color and texture. Then I peeled the mask off and painted the silhouette in.

Ah, good old elementery days...well, not the solitude part really...just the brick wall. That's what this piece has always reminded me of LOL!
