I drew this at my cousin's wedding reception this summer. At every table, they had a rose in full bloom floating in a glass bowl of water, and rose petals scattered around it. My uncle suggested I do a sketch of it, so I did!Related content

Oh, I can't believe no one has commented on this one! The drawing and mark-making are lovely to behold. I would suggest a wider range of value, more darks perhaps in the background, maybe making it more interesting back there.
I would love to see what you can do with pen and ink in this spontaneous, quick manner of working.

Thank you for the wonderful comment! I always appreciate constructive comments, and I'm glad someone liked this piece so much. I like what you suggested for the background, and I think I will try it and post a revision sometime in the future. And pen and ink is one of my favorite mediums. I'll actually be posting some pen and ink works soon, and I'm interested to see what you might think of them. Thank you for the watch, by the way! I hope to see some of your work on dA someday.
