What kind of adventure would thrill a couple of high-spirited kids from the slums and keep them on the go from early morning till sundown? A murder mystery to solve—and a road trip. My illustrated story, Ananda and Jack and the Case of the Mangled Doll, has both of these ingredients and a lot more. Jack and Ananda are two pre-adolescent orphans, best friends, who live in the slums of a polluted, dystopian metropolis. Up before dawn to play hooky all day, they discover a broken doll in a pile of rubbish. They decide to investigate this “murder,” and the pursuit keeps them on the go all day, riding shuttles, busses, and dump trucks, until they find what they’re looking for .

This is an illustrated novel I created in 2013 and hoarded for no real reason. Trigger warning for child endangerment, both of their own volition and assuredly not. Updates every Wednesday and sometimes Saturday if the Wednesday update is too short.
