Diane told Aiden not to get involved with this bad guy because he was rotten and manipulative, and she said that she would handle it when she finds him. And Aiden said okay, but confronted the guy anyway to tell him to back off, and the guy threatened Aiden, warning him to keep his presence a secret or he'll poison Diane with an incurable poison that even his blood couldn't fix.
So Aiden has been doing what this guy had told him for the past few weeks, and lying to Diane, because he didn't want her to die. But Diane eventually finds out and she is really upset about it.
