~Prologue~ Firenze, 1471
Ever since you have memory, you always have known the Auditore family, your father and your mother were trained as assassins along with Giovanni making them really close friends and once you were born really close families. Your father normally worked with Giovanni as his assistant while you always played with Ezio and Federico, Claudia always was doing ladies duties and Petruccio was just too ill to play with you three. You have known them from several years by now but it was until your twelfth birthday that the normal days were over, Your father had received a threat from the templars in Firenze, the city was no longer safe for you two, your mother sadly was the message, she was murdered in your own house while you and your father were out, He decided then that even at your young age, you had to start your training before it was too late, you knew the nature of your family and you were aware that you could be murdered at any moment in any place at any time, but the most painful thing was that your Childhood best friend, Ezio, didn’t know it.

-Why can’t I tell him father? –you cried while the maids were packing your things.

-Oh mio caro, I wish you could tell him but Giovanni doesn’t want him to know this kind of life, not yet. –your father told you while caressing your check wiping a tear that was rolling down your face.

-mio caro, we arrived. - your father said in a really sweet voice that was full of pain, you turn your eyes to him and with a panicked look nodded, it was time to say goodbye.

Your father knew that the thought of your mother always gave you courage and this time was not an exception, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath, stopping in that way the slightly shiver in your body, your heart took a steady rhythm and you suddenly felt how the tears that were at the edge of your eyes disappear.

Your father went out of the carriage and helped you to get out too, all the family was in the entrance of their house, you could see the young Petruccio holding his mother’s hand as Claudia, and Federico was standing by the right of Giovanni and finally Ezio he was the one who was running towards you, you did not notice until you two were in the ground.

-Ezio! –his mother shouted but he didn’t listened, he was too busy holding you tight in his arms and his face was in your neck.

-Ezio… I can… not bre…ath –you said exaggerating the situation and he instantly let go of you.

-Sorry (Y/N), I didn’t want to hurt you.- Even though you two were only twelve he was growing stronger very fast and not only that he was getting attractive too.

-Va bene… Ezio this is the last time I will see you in a while and… -you felt suddenly weak when you encounter his eyes, those beautiful and warm brown eyes.

-Don’t worry my father told me everything. - You widened your eyes and looked at your father and then Giovanni.

-Wait… he did? –you said really surprised, was it true? Did they tell him or…

-Yes, you are leaving to study art in francia, how cool is that? molti complimenti!-He said very eagerly and stood up giving you his hand to help you to get up too.

-Si... grazzie, this was a real surprise from my father, and I… I will miss you terribly. –you took his hand and said this trying to sound as normal as always so he wouldn’t suspect anything.

-Don’t worry It will be for a few years, and besides once you are back we will be grown ups and we will marry, just like we promised.

You flushed instantly into a deep red, you could hear how your father and Giovanni laughed, Petruccio asked what “marry” was and Maria answered him very happily, you felt so embarrassed, Ezio noticed it and smiled shyly as if he was apologizing.

-I will miss you terribly too, mi amore. –he said and he kissed your cheek. –please don’t forget me… -he hesitated a bit but pulled out something from his pocket, he was holding it in his closed fist and placed it in the palm of your hand and then closed it. –Claudia and madre helped me to do it… it’s a gift.

When you opened your hand you saw what it was and smiled, it was a pretty leather bracelet, it was really simple but it meant the world to you.

-Thank you Ezio, I will not forget. –you hugged him tight and he returned the hug.

-It’s time to go (Y/N) –Your father said and you let go of Ezio.

Your father and you continued to say good bye to the family, you first hugged Maria, she had become like a mother to you, then Claudia, she cried a bit due that you were like a sister to her, then Petruccio, he didn’t know you very well so he was slightly shy, and then Federico, the older brother, he kissed your cheek and then your hands finally giving you a smile, you flushed and Ezio gave him a death stare, finally Giovanni, He kneeled to be at your height and gave you a big hug, just so he whispered in your ear “I’m sure your mother is really proud of you” and finally let go and stood up again, you gave him a big smile and walked to your father’s side.

-My daughter and I will miss you all Giovanni, thank you for everything. –Your father finally said to Giovanni and he simply laughed and said -Thank you too, Avere un viaggio sicuro.

And then both of you got in the carriage and as it started to move you put on the bracelet Ezio gave you and thought “I will never take it off”. You looked back and Ezio was waving at you with the biggest smile and you did the same until the carriage turned in a corner.
