You have been on Ezio’s guidance about 3 years by now, he has taken you to missions and taught you everything he knows, you even healed him whenever he got hurt, you trusted him and he trusted you, so you felt enough confidence to ask him if you could take a day off, no training, no sneaking, no killing, just a day to relax.

-So…. Ezio can I? –You asked in a really sweet voice and put your best puppy eyes, he was undressing himself, due that you didn’t have any family he offered you t olive with him and you accepted, this activity wasn’t anything strange or uncomfortable for you two, but still he was a man and you could not ignore this precious gift of the gods. –Can I have a day off? –You continued and he turned.

-Well I guess you can bella… but what for? –He answered with another question, you didn’t prepare any backup or excuse to this, you weren’t going to tell him the truth, oh hells no.

-ammm… well… I just wanted to relax you know, the festival is tonight so… I just… -You were babbling and that wasn’t good, he will notice you are lying, he always does.

-Va bene (Y/N), just be careful, you are quite known now in the city. -He said with a smirk and you couldn’t believe but your plan worked, with some flaws, but worked.

-Si, well then I’ll be going, see you tonight Ezio. –You said and with that you went to your room, changed your robes for decent clothing and grabbed all the Money you’ve been saving during the past two years.

As you walked out, Ezio kept wondering what were you up to, so he dressed again looked through the window and saw you walking down the street, with great skill and stealth he climbed out the window of the room and followed you walking on the rooftops.

You on the other hand made your way to the market walking calmly and enjoying the landscape, now that you were an assassin in training you never actually could enjoy the city everything was fighting and chasing and sometimes being chased.

You looked the shops, the houses, the people working, the children playing, and well even some men approached and complimented your beauty, you just gave them a shy smile and thanked them for their kindness and walked away, always being careful enough to not make a long eye contact. When you arrived to the market, as you expected there were a lot of people, but you easily broke through them and Ezio in the meantime was trying to spot you in the crowd, and he felt proud because it was quite difficult to do it, he had taught you well.

As you walked an old man with a small table attracted your attention, he was selling really pretty jewelry, you thought for a moment that it might be stolen jewelry but right now who cares, this was your day off, you could spend your money and your time in whatever you wanted. You looked through all the beautiful objects in the table, there were necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets with rubies, emeralds, rock crystals, and finally the pearls, they were the most beautiful ones, there was a necklace that was just perfect, it wasn’t simple but neither too extravagant , just the perfect balance.

-Excuse me sir, how much is it for this one? –you said pointing the collar of your choice.

-For you bella, nothing, you can take it. –The old man said with a happy voice and a big smile in his face, maybe today was your lucky day. You took the necklace and put it on you, it was absolutely gorgeous, the man handled you a small mirror so you could see yourself and it looked great on you, it matched perfectly with your (S/C) skin you couldn’t help but smile wide open and express all your gratitude to him by giving him a bit of money, he accepted it and appreciated it too, you waved him and walked away.

Ezio looked pretty surprised when he saw what you bought, he started wondering even more.

-Is she going to meet someone? –he said to himself with a really concerned voice, then as you walked away he climbed down from the roof he was on, and started to following you at the level of the ground. You wandered around the market and bought some other stuff like clothing and some food for yourself, cakes and sweets mostly, you left the market and went to a specific shop, it was a really luxurious tailor in the centre of the town, you have had passed by it so many times and you spotted a beautiful (F/C) dress that you wanted really bad, you weren’t much of buying dresses, in fact almost all the time you wore your assassin robes but this event was something that happened once in a lifetime.

Ezio waited until you entered the tailor to get closer to the place, his mind wandered and at the same time panicked, he thought that you were going to meet a boy, that was for sure to him, so he started to think about plans to: one: scared him and threat him for life, or two: give him a talk and scare him for life, either way he was going to have a little chat with him, and tell him if he dared to broke your heart, he would rip his from his chest with his bare hands, in a very literal way, you had become like a family to him, besides his mother and younger sister, you were a responsibility too.

When you got out the tailor, it was getting dark, there were a few stars in the sky, and suddenly you remembered why you didn’t like buying dresses, you walked out wearing it already and for your surprise Ezio was out there waiting for you, he was leaning against the wall looking at the sky, and noticed your presence.

-… -He got silent with a shocked expression in his face, this was the first time he saw you wearing a dress and it fitted perfectly all your feminine features and attributes, and with the necklace you looked like a killer queen.

-Were you following me all day? –You inquired, and felt how your heart started pounding.

-Wow… (Y/N)… bella you look Beatiful… assolutamente bellissima. –You saw how a little pink was covering his face as he got closer to you.

-The man you are going to meet I hope he knows how lucky he is… -He said as he grabbed your hands and kissed them both without breaking direct eye contact, you almost got lost in those hot chocolates when it hit you, man?

-Wait… a man? What do you mean? – You said confused and gave him a horrored look, he seemed to get confused too but continued talking.

-You are going to see a man today, that’s why you wanted this day off, or am I wrong.

-ah… yes you are, I’m not seeing any man today, today is… -You hesitated. –Is my birthday. –You finally told him and avoided his gaze, you didn’t know what to expect as reaction, he let go of your hands and embraced you in a long, strong and warm hug.

-Why didn’t you tell me (Y/N), you trust me don’t you? –he said as he let go of you and looked you right in the eye again, he knew the effect he had on you, so basically you could deduce he was taking a little bit of advantage.

-I do trust you, but I don’t know… I just feel that this is not really important for anyone but me so… I didn’t think it was a really good idea to bother you with such irrelevant things. –Ezio’s gaze looked, to you, in some way hurt and he was about to tell you something but shut immediately.

-I used to do this before you took me as an apprentice, I worked hard all the year and due that my birthday was the same day of the festival I wasted all the money in things I liked and in the night I went to see how the couples danced and laughed from the rooftops. –you said but apparently it sounded sadder that you intended.

-Well what if as a present we go to the festival together?

-You mean… like a couple… a date?

-If you want to call it like that, si.

Your eyes got watery, the feeling of someone caring so much about you was something really unique and authentic that it made you feel warm inside.

When you two arrived to the piazza the party had already started, people dancing around, many pretty women, handsome men and of course the music, it made you feel chills.

-buon compleanno (Y/N), this is not just a festival… It’s a celebration for you. –He said to your ear and smiled seductively as he walked you to the dance floor by the hand.
