Description
It was happening again.
Misery had hoped that his big brother might stop copying the villagers, that maybe Illusion would stop hitting him and be like he was before the village, back when the only person he had to copy was Misery himself. but the dark skeleton had long since lost hope that his brother would ever care about him again.
Stars, he was tired. Either his insomnia was finally getting to him, or the blood loss was beginning to effect him. the crack in his skull was making it hard to think straight...
"why do I even bother keeping you around...? Your practically useless..." Illusion stated in his usual cold, emotionless voice, most likely copying something that the villagers had said about Misery earlier. he couldn't tell... all the insults began to blend together at one point...
it was at that time that Misery finally broke.
A long while ago, back when Illusion first started to copy the villagers, Misery used to beg his brother to stop, but he had quickly learned that begging and screaming for help wouldn't get him anything but more pain.
But that was before. back then, he only had Illusion to call for help.
until now, Misery had been trying to handle it himself, not wanting to get his best (and only) friend involved, fearing that he would end up trying to kill Illusion.
but right now, in his pain-addled mind, he didn't care. he just wanted the pain to S T O P.
taking in as much air as he could, Misery shouted out, amplifying it with whatever magic he had left.
"CHESHIRE!"
"no one will help you, brother. we both know that" Illusion stated coldly, before smashing his staff into Misery's skull again, but before it could make contact, an explosion of pure, inky D A R K N E S S appeared between the two, throwing Illusion back and away from Misery, who recognized the feel of the magic immediatly.
"C-cheshire.... you... actually came...?"
"...of course I did, Misery. I couldn't just leave my best friend to this lunatic."
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
Cheshire wasn't mad.
he was just chilling on the couch in the old, run-down house he had found in an old, abandoned AU that his twin brother, Pastel, had never finished, fiddling with the hem of the hoodie that Misery had sewn for him, when he felt it.
his magic was reacting to someone... calling out for him...?
usually, when someone called for one of the two creation/destruction brothers, it was normally Pastel, as calling for Cheshire would usually lead to your AU being obliterated...
so if someone was calling out for him, then that meant that either (A) they absolutely hate their AU and want to die, or (B) it was either Dust, Horror, or Misery calling for help.
when he checked the codes, and saw that it was from Dreamtale, he knew it was Misery. and he was more than a little worried, as the smaller skeleton would be more likely to heal his enemies than fight them.
Using his magic, Cheshire immediatly teleported right in front of Misery, and what he saw made his non-existent Blood boil.
Misery was beaten, bruised and bloody, with a massive crack on his skull, and more than likely more broken bones hidden under his cloak. but what really got to Cheshire was who was standing in front of Misery, their staff coated in blood and bone-marrow.
it was Illusion
He knew it.
Cheshire freakin' KNEW it would be him.
Now, Despite Cheshire's... destructive hobbies and short temper, he was no fool. He knew Illusion's soul was glitched, that somehow his twin brother had messed up when creating Illusion, causing the tall sans alternate to be emotionless, and he had watched the village and Illusion long enough to figure out that Illusion simply copied the actions of others, and that Misery was hardly ever near the villagers or Illusion, always hiding in the tree of emotions or a different tree somewhere in the forest nearby. it didn't take an idiot to figure out what was going on.
He knew Misery would be sad if Illusion died, even if the elder sibling was an abusive, emotionless demon, but Cheshire didn't care anymore.
Seeing Misery, the only person who wasn't immediatly afraid of him, the little skeleton that had given him a name, and gave him his first gift, lying on the ground, bleeding out onto the grass...
Oh no, Cheshire wasn't mad.
he was ENRAGED.
So, another BalanceSwap! thing. This time its only Cheshire and Misery, but Illusion is actually here- I just didn't know how to fit him into the picture... XD
I have quite a few more BalanceSwap! Pictures planned, but still have to work on Equilibrium, so... XD
But yeah, Cheshire doesn't like it when one of his friends gets hurt. especially when its Misery, since he was Cheshire's first friend (not to mention a little cinnamon roll)
This was actually the last time Misery was in Dreamtale. Cheshire beat Illusion to a bloody pulp before taking Misery with him to his little au to heal and such. Naturally he couldn't kill Illusion, as doing so would kill Misery, but it didn't stop him from unleashing the power of an angry God of Destruction. he just had to be a bit more careful than normal...
(this incident is also one of the reasons that Illusion has severe guilt problems. Once he got emotions from eating the apples, he realized what he had done to his little brother. so to be honest, BOTH emotion Brothers have severe problems...)

And also poor illusion. I can just imagine the pain he must be going through due to the sudden onslaught of emotions, plus the most prominent emotion for him, guilt. Ugh..... he is probably feeling like trash most of the time due to this

Yeah, Illusion isn't really dealing with the new emotions all that well... I mean, he at least has Pastel helping him figure out how to deal with them, but...
and yes, he has severe guilt problems, and he does feel like Trash most of the time... thankfully, he has Pastel and Blueberry helping him out.
even if that means he has to deal with Pastel's terrible cooking XD
